A beautiful campground.

The area where the dogs can swim is dangerous because the path leading to it is narrow, even though the campground could set aside larger areas for this purpose. We didn't want to be right next to the road or in the sun, but in that case, it's better to make a reservation so you can get the best spots.

A great campground for staying active, such as swimming in the lake, among other things.
There are beautiful bike and hiking trails around the area. Some spots are quiet, making them especially suitable for small children; the downside is that they’ll be awake early if you don’t have any of your own.

A very nice and quiet campground right on the lake. Very good and very clean bathroom facilities. We felt very comfortable there and will be back.

If you have a campsite on the camping hill, the walk to the restroom building is a bit of a hike.
Beautiful Campground
We can 100% recommend this campground. Right next to the reception desk is a Spar supermarket with a great selection. Fresh baked goods and more are available in the morning.

The Most Beautiful Place in Carinthia
We came across this campground while searching online and were thrilled. We’ve been to many campgrounds in Carinthia, but this one really won us over—the campsites, the cleanliness, the facilities, and so much more. We’ll be back.

The campground’s location is ideal. It has direct access to the lake (which is rare in Austria) with a swimming beach. Check-in and check-out were hassle-free, and the staff was friendly. The restroom facilities are well-located and modern, and are always kept clean. There’s a Spar supermarket for shopping and a restaurant right on the grounds.

Actually, none—it was just the power connection box that caused us some trouble, since the CEE outlets are awkwardly placed on the subfloor. Our plug wouldn't fit. I had a second one, which the friendly campground electrician then managed to plug in.
A Relaxing Vacation
We had a relaxing two-week vacation. The location was right on the lake, just a short walk from the campground’s private beach, where we could cool off whenever we wanted.
It was an ideal starting point for day trips and bike rides.
We’d love to come back again!

Well-being and Pure Delight
We stayed from June 15 to June 21 in a comfort campsite in Area P. From there, we had a direct view of the stunning lake and the surrounding mountains. Extending our stay was a bit of a challenge for us, but they made it possible. Thank you again! The entire campground is beautifully landscaped. The... restroom facilities are very clean and modern, and they also provide a private atmosphere. All the staff are friendly. It’s a magnificent setting. Relaxation and tranquility are part of the experience here. We’ll definitely be back, and we were very sorry to have to leave after seven days!

If there’s one downside, it’s the location—there can be some pretty intense thunderstorms. During those two weeks, we had three in the afternoon, and we even had to take down our awning on the RV just to be safe. As more and more campers use the internet to stream content—such as soccer games—the campground’s current (free) Wi-Fi network is reaching its limits, so I ended up doing everything directly on my cell phone.
A stunningly beautiful location / Top spot
We stayed at this campground as a couple from June 7 to June 21, 2026, and had a site right on the lake (site W4). The location there is simply gorgeous—the view of the lake and the peaceful atmosphere make this area truly special.

The entire campground is very well-maintained and clean. The restrooms... deserve special mention—they’re modern and cleaned regularly throughout the day. You can really tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on cleanliness and quality.

We were also impressed by the on-site restaurant. The value for money is particularly outstanding, and you can enjoy a good meal there in a pleasant atmosphere and wind down the evening.

The surrounding area offers plenty of things to do. From the campground, you can reach many destinations—whether by bike, on a hike, or by car. The region has something for everyone and invites you to explore nature.

At the same time, the campground is also perfect for relaxing. Thanks to its quiet location, it’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy your time.

We’ve been here several times now and highly recommend a stay starting in mid-June. At that time, the cable cars are open, among other things, which opens up even more options for excursions. We also highly recommend the Kärnten Card—it’s definitely worth it and offers many attractive benefits.

Conclusion:
This campground will definitely remain on our list of favorites. We felt completely at home here and will definitely be back.

The veggie pizza was loaded with toppings. It felt like there were three bell peppers and a can of corn. Less is often more.
A very nice place with a great layout
It’s one of the best campgrounds I’ve visited so far. The campsites are beautifully terraced. The sites are generously sized. There are plenty of excellent restroom facilities. There’s a swimming beach right on the campground. You can take the “ferry” out on the lake and use the guest card to ride local... public transportation. You can quickly head over to Italy for a great pizza, or take the cable car up the mountain for a hike and enjoy the amazing view. I’ll definitely be back.

Great location right on the lake. The washrooms are very clean. Super friendly staff. Good restaurant with friendly staff right on the campground. Good transportation connections to Villach. Spacious campsites. Very good facilities.

The fact that we had to leave again (as planned) after just 5 days. We would have liked to stay longer.
A large square offering plenty of peace and relaxation
The staff’s friendliness right from the moment we arrived was exceptional. The option to choose our own spot was especially great. That way, we got to enjoy what was, for us, the PERFECT spot (but I won’t reveal which one it is ;-) ). Of course, that’s probably only possible during the off-season when... it’s not too crowded.

The washhouse we used (02) was cleaned several times a day. It’s a shame if some guests don’t appreciate this effort, but that’s not the Berghof’s fault! Thanks to the hardworking staff at the campground for their efforts to keep everything spotlessly clean.

Utility hookups and waste disposal were perfect; even the gray water disposal system was in great shape.

Our site for our 6-meter camper van was more than large enough.

Despite the campground’s size, we didn’t feel like it was crowded or noisy.

There’s a very well-stocked supermarket right next to the campground.
Access to the lake is great; even the sandy beaches with gentle slopes are suitable for small children.

There’s also a restaurant right next to the campground. The quality, variety of dishes, and service were all very good. They offer takeout meals and wood-fired pizzas.

During our visit in June, there were many dogs on the campground. According to a notice, however, the campground is dog-free in July and August.

Our conclusion:
Anyone looking to find something to complain about here would have to search veeeeeeeery hard.
A wonderful, relaxing, spacious campground that, thanks to its terraced layout, never felt like a “crowded chicken coop” for campers.
The campground is very well maintained, and the staff goes above and beyond to keep it that way—we had a wonderful time there. Since we were traveling without children, we can’t provide a detailed assessment of its family-friendliness, but we view it as generally very positive.

If we ever go back to Carinthia, Seecamping Berghof will be our first choice.

Great place
On our way to Italy, we spent a night at Lake Ossiach. We received a warm welcome; the grounds were clean and well-maintained, and the restrooms were spotless! Our personal highlight was the exquisite dinner on the lakeside terrace. We were more than satisfied in every way. We can’t comment on activities, etc., since we only stayed there one night. But this certainly won’t be our last visit.

Unfortunately, we didn't have satellite reception at our campsite, but that's not really a problem. It's hard to find anything at all: maybe a few more lounge chairs on the beaches would be nice.
Relaxing days against a stunning backdrop
One of the best-equipped, if not the best, campgrounds we've ever been to... and it's in a gorgeous location right on the lakeshore. The wooden Hollywood swings along the lakeside promenade are really lovely.

Great place with everything you need
We had a comfort site that was in a truly beautiful location and offered plenty of space even for large RVs. The reception and check-in were great right from the start, with very friendly staff. The SPAR supermarket on the grounds is huge and has absolutely everything. The new restroom facilities are... also a total hit. The atmosphere at the campground is very civilized, quiet, and friendly. The bike path runs right past the reception area, and you can set off on wonderful bike rides, walks, or hikes. The restaurant is great! Superb food, a wide selection, and generous portions. The only minor downside is the somewhat small beach. We really enjoyed our stay and would book this spot again in a heartbeat. A clear recommendation for anyone who hasn’t been there yet.

As mentioned above, the service was excellent all around. I’ve never seen such a clean restroom area. The cleaning staff even scrubbed the shower floor, even though everything looked brand new. The restaurant’s kitchen is top-notch. We ate there several times. The only thing I can think of that I didn’t... like—though this has nothing to do with the campground—is that at the supermarket I had to check everything; a lot of it was expired or moldy. A big thank you to EVERYONE! The ladies at the front desk always seem to have a smile on their faces and even wave when we walk by :-). So, overall, 6 out of 5 stars, grin
