We were very satisfied with the campground. The drive there and our arrival were very pleasant, and everyone was very friendly. Everything was explained to us very clearly. The lakeside spot on the west beach is in a gorgeous location. The restrooms are all clean, modern, and perfectly integrated into... the campground. You can take a lovely boat ride right from the east beach. There’s also a wide variety of sports activities available. We had a fantastic vacation and will definitely come back.

The showers didn't have enough water, and in the women's area, the showers were "reserved" for days on end with clothes, toiletries, etc., even though no one was there! It's just like reserving pool loungers with towels in Mallorca 😬 Also, the cleanliness on the east side was much better!

A massive wasp infestation, screaming children, and cars, cyclists, and e-scooters driving too fast on the campground. Such is the behavior and attitude of visitors.
Review of Seecamping Beghof
It really is a great campground, and we'd definitely book it again. Aside from the behavior of some other guests and the wasp infestation, we had a wonderful time and are considering going back there next year.

Top Campground
Great campground!! Perfect for relaxing by the lake or hiking/biking in the mountains. It’s a 15-minute bus ride to downtown Villach, which has a really charming little town center.
The lake is clean, and the campground has two private beaches reserved exclusively for campground guests. There’s a little... hut on the beach where you can get good food and drinks (cash only).
The regional pass (KärntenCard) is highly recommended. This pass lets you do lots of things for free in the area, so you’ll easily make up the cost of the pass. (For comparison: 14 days for 2 people costs €170; this must also be paid in cash).
A stunning area with plenty to do right from the campground, such as hiking or biking into the mountains. If you’d rather stay and enjoy the campground itself, that’s an option too. There’s a soccer field, a volleyball court, a pump track for young mountain bikers, and mini-golf.
The restroom facilities are spotlessly clean, and there are plenty of them throughout the campground.
There’s a very well-stocked campground store where you can buy just about anything, in case you’ve forgotten something. It is a bit on the pricey side, though.
All in all, definitely worth a visit.
PLEASE NOTE: Dogs are not allowed in July and August!

A fantastic, spacious campground known far beyond the borders of Carinthia, with a rich history.
Very beautifully laid out, often in terraced sections.
Plenty of space right on the lake and a boat dock near the beach. Beautiful old trees.
Arrival and check-in were hassle-free.

During peak season, the... campground reaches its capacity limits, especially regarding the restroom facilities. A new restroom building from 2013 is showing its age in terms of maintenance.

There are also sites with a view of trash containers and located just 15 meters from the busy lakeside road. Unfortunately, there’s no soundproofing.
So be aware: P01 and P02 have nothing in common with a “comfort” site.

There’s an inn on the grounds, and takeout pizza is available for anyone who doesn’t want to cook or grill themselves.

Shopping at the well-stocked Spar supermarket on the grounds, with its friendly staff, is excellent.
The house-made meat skewers in the fresh food section come highly recommended.

A Great Getaway by the Lake
We had a wonderfully relaxing time at the campground. We were delighted by the many activities available at and around the campground, and our kids were also thrilled by all the options.
The restroom facilities are very well-maintained, clean, and modern! The little supermarket has everything your heart... desires right on site! We also had very pleasant contact with the front desk beforehand; they were very helpful and accommodating and found a good solution for our arrival time! We’ll definitely be back next year—and for a longer stay! :-) Thanks for the wonderful days!

I actually really enjoyed everything. Starting with the friendly, warm welcome on the day I arrived, right through to the equally friendly farewell. I had spot P33, and I have to say, it’s an absolutely perfect campsite. It’s not far from the restroom facility, the beach bar, or the lake.

A beautiful, fantastic campground
I actually really liked everything. Starting with the friendly, warm welcome
on the day I arrived, right through to the equally friendly farewell.
I had spot P33, and I have to say, it’s an absolutely perfect spot.
It’s not far from the restroom facilities, the beach bar, or the lake.
The restroom... facilities are in great condition—always clean and well-maintained. Electricity, water, and even a toilet disposal station were available at every site. A huge shout-out to the always friendly and helpful staff at the reception desk for the warm welcome. I felt right at home immediately. The roads on the campground are easy to navigate. The Berghof Restaurant comes highly recommended. The food is excellent and the prices are great.
However, there are times in the evening when you have to wait a bit for a table. The beach at the swimming lake is clean, and there’s plenty of space to run around :-)
The supermarket on the campground also has everything you could want :-)
All in all, a wonderful campground.
I’m happy to give it 5 stars.
I’ll definitely be back.

Relaxation and Activity in a Dreamlike Setting

Great Vacation
It was an all-around wonderful vacation. The campground met all of our expectations. There’s always something to do, especially for families with children. Having our own access to the lake was fantastic. Everything was in great shape; only some of the lighting along the walkways was broken. The playgrounds were large and varied; everything was clean and well-maintained.
We had a wonderful view of the lake and felt completely at home there.

We received a very warm welcome. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and there was so much to do. The facilities at the campground are great.

Top Campground
It really is a place where you can feel at home. We only spent a few days there while passing through, but next time we’ll definitely plan to stay a little longer because the place is truly beautiful. Everything is well thought out and pleasantly designed. Our child felt right at home immediately and didn’t want to leave at all.

A dream vacation in a dream location
We've been spending our vacations at this campground for many years. It's right on the lake, with a fantastic view, and there's even a Spar supermarket right on the grounds. We highly recommend this campground.

Great options for kids. A beautiful beach for swimming. A lovely, well-maintained, and always clean place. Great restrooms that are always—and I mean always—clean.

Unfortunately, the shower doesn't have much water pressure. It's very hard for my wife and child to wash their hair. Spar might want to reconsider its prices.
Another wonderful stay at the Berghof
Like I said, there should be more water in the showers, and the prices shouldn't be as high as they are in Munich. Other than that, it's one of the most beautiful places we go to every year.

The campground's location and the warm waters of Lake Ossiach. The "no dogs allowed" period during our vacation. That meant the dog walkway was free.

A Really Great Camping Vacation
The Perfect Relaxing Vacation—We’d Love to Come Back!

We had a wonderful, all-around successful vacation at this campground. We loved the entire facility right from the start, mainly because of its great location and the well-thought-out, easy-to-navigate layout.
The facilities also leave absolutely... nothing to be desired. Everything is easily accessible and perfectly organized for daily needs. A huge plus for us was the opportunity to swim—it greatly enriched our stay and provided the perfect way to cool off and have lots of fun, both during the day and in between activities.
As everyone knows, the restrooms are a key aspect of any camping vacation. We were really very satisfied here: The restrooms and washrooms were consistently in a relatively clean to very clean condition, which we greatly appreciated. You can just tell that they’re regularly maintained and that cleanliness is a priority.
We especially remember the pleasant atmosphere. Although we did a lot and had a lot of fun during the day, we were able to relax wonderfully and unwind in the evenings. The campground was absolutely quiet, so we could wind down the evenings in a peaceful atmosphere and sleep undisturbed at night.
Conclusion:
For us, it was an all-around successful vacation with a great mix of activities, fun in the water, and true relaxation. We’re happy to highly recommend this campground and will definitely be back!

A wonderful vacation in every way
An all-around great vacation, with fantastic activities for kids. It’s great and hassle-free that you can rent a car. This was our second time there, and we’d love to come back. We were lucky with the weather, and the kids always had something to do. Our son especially loved the day in the woods. And... our daughter loved being able to stand in the lake for so long. For the bread-on-a-stick activity, a second campfire site would be great, since there’s way too little space for the number of kids. Other than that, we have absolutely no complaints. It was great to be with you again, and we’re looking forward to next time.
