Silke S.wrzesień 2025Pozytywne- Direct location on Lake Ossiach - access to the water, beautiful beach, bathing jetties for swimmers and even an area for non-swimmers (which is also ideal for children) - Family-friendly: playgrounds, children's showers/WC, activities for children. - Pitches often large, with lake view or good view, beautiful terrace location. - Good infrastructure: supermarket, restaurant, bread roll service, leisure facilities. - Friendly, helpful staff. - There are restrictions for dogs, especially in high season - not all beach areas are accessible and dogs are not allowed everywhere. So a little inconvenient for dog owners, but great and commendable for parents with small children 👌.Negatywne- Size of the site - due to its size, some paths are long, and if you are not close to the lake, you may have less direct proximity to the water / beach or to the sanitary facilities. - WLAN / Internet is often mentioned as a weak point - weak connection or overload in some areas. We were on pitch U6 and had very good reception. - Power connections sometimes with low power (e.g. only 6 amps) - some guests had problems operating several electrical devices at the same time. So did we, we wanted to run a toaster and a coffee machine, and we also blew a fuse.Dream location on Lake Ossiach - family-friendly & comfortableWe only spent 2 short but wonderful days at Seecamping Berghof and can only warmly recommend the site! The location on the southern shore of Lake Ossiach is fantastic - you are right by the water, enjoy beautiful views and feel surrounded by nature without sacrificing comfort. Thanks to the terraced... grounds, you often have a view of the lake, and the direct proximity to the lake makes the site special.
The sanitary facilities are modern, very well maintained and are cleaned regularly - with lovely extras such as children's toilets and showers. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, whether at reception or in the store.
The campsite is ideal for families: playgrounds, leisure activities, a children's program and safe swimming areas ensure that the little ones are well occupied. The on-site restaurant and supermarket are also well-stocked and make your stay easier.
Of course, there are also things you should know: The site is very popular in high season, which can lead to more activity, closer spacing and occasional waiting times in the sanitary facilities. In addition, not all areas are accessible to dogs, which can be a little inconvenient for dog owners, but is a very welcome solution for parents with small children.
Conclusion: Seecamping Berghof is a wonderful place for anyone who wants to combine relaxation, nature and comfort. Families in particular feel at home here, but couples and active vacationers will also get their money's worth. Why weren't we told on arrival that the showers were faulty? We had been looking forward to a nice shower after a long drive. I recommend the campsite for people over 60 who like to sit in front of their caravan all day and don't need to experience nature. No positive experience outside of this. Unfortunately, the lakeside road runs right next to the campsite and is unexpectedly busy. The only advantage is that the site is right on the lake, but so are other sites. The lake itself is unspectacular compared to the surrounding lakes. Hikes are possible on the other side of the lake, but even there the focus is on commerce (cable car to the summit + small funfair on the mountain). While the west bank is where the action is, the east bank is a little more leisurely and quiet.
The comfort pitches are really nice and large, you have plenty of... space and the terrace location means you always have a view of the lake, unless there is an unnecessarily large motorhome in front of you.
The restaurant is very good in terms of quality, last year there were some problems with the waiting times, we didn't notice that at all this year, the restaurant staff were very courteous and friendly.

The sanitary facilities were very, very clean at all times.
The lake is fantastic... and was pleasantly warm at 23 degrees. There was an extra jetty with a ramp for the dogs. You could also take the dogs to the beach area, but not into the water, which is completely ok.
We didn't take part in the activities on offer, so I can't rate them.
The restaurant was quite good, the take away pizza next to it not so much.

It was already clear at the reception that this would be our regular place. The staff are very friendly and you immediately feel at home. We had a comfort pitch large for our motorhome and trailer more... than sufficient, everything on site electricity 5m to the distributor fresh water waste water disposal incl. toilet everything there! Comfort as the name says. The entire place very clean toilet and shower are cleaned several times a day modern equipment. The beach suitable for children access sandy no stones. Own jetty for boat trips. Bus stop on the doorstep with the card free to Villach. Spar store on site with everything you need. Restaurant on site with delicious food from pizza to roast. We had a SUP pitch right on the water in front with reeds that you could see over. The pitch was soooo big that our caravan (9.50 meters) would have easily fitted on it twice! We also had a nice meadow in front of the awning, which made walking barefoot... very pleasant. There was a wooden swing on each of these pitches, which we used a lot! The boat came again and again during the day, which didn't bother us, but was super practical for the connection to the lake!
There was also a pipe right next to the pitch into which you could empty the chemical toilet, which was super practical and didn't cause any unpleasant odors! So you didn't have to walk halfway across the pitch with the heavy cassette! That was also very pleasant!
We've never had such a wonderful pitch with so much peace and quiet! We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely come back at some point if it fits into our plans! We were very relaxed!

And although I had a pitch about 20 meters from the nearest router, the internet availability was extremely poor.
