Top Campground
It really is a place where you can feel at home. We only spent a few days there while passing through, but next time we’ll definitely plan to stay a little longer because the place is truly beautiful. Everything is well thought out and pleasantly designed. Our child felt right at home immediately and didn’t want to leave at all.

Great options for kids. A beautiful beach for swimming. A lovely, well-maintained, and always clean place. Great restrooms that are always—and I mean always—clean.

Unfortunately, the shower doesn't have much water pressure. It's very hard for my wife and child to wash their hair. Spar might want to reconsider its prices.
Another wonderful stay at the Berghof
Like I said, there should be more water in the showers, and the prices shouldn't be as high as they are in Munich. Other than that, it's one of the most beautiful places we go to every year.

A Really Great Camping Vacation
The Perfect Relaxing Vacation—We’d Love to Come Back!

We had a wonderful, all-around successful vacation at this campground. We loved the entire facility right from the start, mainly because of its great location and the well-thought-out, easy-to-navigate layout.
The facilities also leave absolutely... nothing to be desired. Everything is easily accessible and perfectly organized for daily needs. A huge plus for us was the opportunity to swim—it greatly enriched our stay and provided the perfect way to cool off and have lots of fun, both during the day and in between activities.
As everyone knows, the restrooms are a key aspect of any camping vacation. We were really very satisfied here: The restrooms and washrooms were consistently in a relatively clean to very clean condition, which we greatly appreciated. You can just tell that they’re regularly maintained and that cleanliness is a priority.
We especially remember the pleasant atmosphere. Although we did a lot and had a lot of fun during the day, we were able to relax wonderfully and unwind in the evenings. The campground was absolutely quiet, so we could wind down the evenings in a peaceful atmosphere and sleep undisturbed at night.
Conclusion:
For us, it was an all-around successful vacation with a great mix of activities, fun in the water, and true relaxation. We’re happy to highly recommend this campground and will definitely be back!

A wonderful vacation in every way
An all-around great vacation, with fantastic activities for kids. It’s great and hassle-free that you can rent a car. This was our second time there, and we’d love to come back. We were lucky with the weather, and the kids always had something to do. Our son especially loved the day in the woods. And... our daughter loved being able to stand in the lake for so long. For the bread-on-a-stick activity, a second campfire site would be great, since there’s way too little space for the number of kids. Other than that, we have absolutely no complaints. It was great to be with you again, and we’re looking forward to next time.

We had arrived on motorcycles in 32-degree heat and were told to carry the rented... cooler, along with its cables and motorcycle gear, to our spot—which was actually quite far away—even though golf carts that obviously belonged to the campground were parked right outside the entrance.
We weren’t allowed to drive through the gate but were told to drive across the area—which was crowded with pedestrians and children—between the concrete pillars and the entrance to the store. Pure harassment. We travel a lot, but we’ve never been treated so unkindly.

However, we cannot accept your description of how our receptionists treated you. Our front desk team regularly receives very positive feedback from... our guests. Our staff members are always friendly, helpful, and there for our guests. We therefore expressly reject the claim that the staff members make fun of passing guests. There is no reason for such behavior at our facility, and we can say with conviction that this is not in keeping with our standards.

At the same time, we would also like to mention that we perceived the situation on site differently. The explanations and instructions provided by our staff were given in a factual and friendly manner. In return, however, we were met with clear unfriendliness and little understanding of our established procedures. We deeply regret that this led to such a negative perception of the situation.

We’d also like to briefly clarify something regarding the coolers: Our coolers are available for guests to borrow, but they must then be taken to their campsites by the guests themselves. The golf carts parked in front of the reception desk are intended exclusively for our staff. They are not available for transporting personal belongings or coolers.

The reason you were unable to ride your motorcycle through the entrance gate is due to the gate’s technical specifications. The gate opens automatically via the license plate, which is mounted on the rear of motorcycles. That’s why there’s a sufficiently wide passageway right next to the gate, which is also intended for motorcycles. Our motorcycle guests use this passageway regularly without any issues.

We had a wonderful time
We had actually planned to stay here on the way there, but unfortunately we had to reschedule our trip a bit, so we ended up staying here on the way back. Everything went smoothly, and the staff were very nice. We were also greeted very warmly when we arrived.
We had spot X13, where the access road was... really not easy. Luckily, the spot across from it was free at first. The problem, in my opinion, is the large rocks; our neighbor said many people had gotten stuck there.

We’re sorry that we weren’t able to fully meet your expectations in some areas. Our spacious grounds are designed and laid out so that the distances... to the facilities are as short as possible and easily accessible. The campsites vary in size, but all are well-defined and arranged in such a way that, despite the differences in size, there is still plenty of privacy.

We’d also like to add a few details about our restroom facilities: Five restroom buildings that meet modern standards are available to our guests throughout the entire grounds. Two of them were recently extensively renovated. Since they’re spread out across the entire campground, guests always have the option to use a different restroom building.

We know that every guest has different ideas about what makes a perfect campground. We’re all the more pleased that we’ve been able to exceed the expectations of many of our guests with our spacious grounds and modern facilities.

Like every year, we spend 7–10 days at Seecamping Berghof before continuing on to Croatia. We love this campground, and it’s no coincidence that we’ve been coming here every year since 2019. A beautiful campground with clean restroom facilities, which are thoroughly cleaned every day. The campsites are spacious and are also well maintained— the grass is mowed as soon as a site becomes available. The campground is near the city of Villach, so grocery shopping is no problem. There are also various activities in the area, so you won’t get bored.
Negative ting
During the high season, there isn't always hot water in the evening; for example, the water might suddenly turn cold while you're showering, which is obviously unpleasant, especially when you're showering with small children.
Summer Vacation 2026
Overall, we are very satisfied with the campground, both with the helpfulness of the staff and the facilities on site. The only downside, in our opinion, is that sometimes the hot water runs out for some reason during the evening hours, and you end up with cold water while showering. This is also the... only downside for us.
During the high season, dogs are not allowed; this year, there were some German guests behind us who had visitors a few times who did bring a dog with them. I’m not sure if visitors are actually allowed to bring dogs, but it did surprise us. We also heard from another couple that they had neighbors with two small dogs; if there’s a ban on dogs, it should apply to all dogs.
None of this will stop us from returning to this campground—even though we’ve been here three years in a row—because we’ve already made a reservation for next year.
