Too much noise pollution!
Large groups of men with children were making a tremendous amount of noise, some until 2 a.m. The manager did nothing about it. The restrooms and other facilities were much too far from the campsites.

A Vacation Right from the Start
Overall, it was great again. A place you'll be happy to come back to. It was unusually noisy at times this time around, but that happens sometimes. Otherwise, it's perfect for a short or even longer stay—to relax and unwind.

A quiet and beautiful campground
A clean campground with very nice campsites. Utter peace and quiet. The staff is very friendly. Check-in and check-out are very easy and convenient!

The place was OK overall. We would have preferred not to have to deal with your reception staff (the woman who was there on the day we arrived).
Booking two spots at once online is too cumbersome.
Perhaps a little less reliance on smartphones—e.g., for finding a spot—and more personal interaction.
The bread roll service with cash payment was excellent.
The restrooms weren’t cleaned or maintained well enough.

Good Campground
I have three suggestions for improvement:

In light of the wildfires and the ban on barbecues and open fires—and generally for urgent announcements—it would be helpful to have a public address system instead of relying on a (random) visit from a campground employee to announce important information.... This is standard practice in France and was very helpful to us during the Ardeche flooding.

The keypad for access control to the men’s restroom area should have backlit numbers. In complete darkness at night in that corner, it is very difficult to enter the number combination.

Cell phone reception on the campground is very weak and sometimes nonexistent. Given this, access to Wi-Fi should at least be free for a limited basic service so that guests can, for example, check their emails and access information.

Large Nature Cart
All in all, it's a lovely resort that has everything you could want, thanks to its lakeside location and the restaurant right on the grounds.

The small supermarket, however, could use some improvement, in our opinion....

Large "Naturwagen" TOP .... but not rainproof!
The campground, the nature trailer, the amenities, and the cleanliness of the trailer all met our expectations. However, there were two things we didn’t like very much.

1. Unfortunately, we noticed that our patio furniture (especially the chairs) was already quite worn out and, in some cases, very wobbly.... Replacing the furniture would definitely be a good idea here.

2. Furthermore, due to heavy rain during the night, water seeped into our Naturwagen. The water pushed through the boards of the exterior wall and ran down the inside of the wall into our Naturwagen, causing the mattresses and bedding to get very wet in some places. We had this problem in both bedrooms, and, as we discovered the next morning, the other families in the other nature wagons had also been affected. It took us a lot of time and effort to get the bed dry again so that we and our children could sleep.

The best part, however, was the reaction of the receptionist when we reported the problem the next day. Instead of responding with understanding and/or a gesture of goodwill, we were curtly told that we should expect water leaks in a NATUR wagon when it rains—and that we shouldn’t make such a fuss, since it would have been much worse for us in a tent. Our point that we had specifically chosen the trailer for that very reason—++ protection from rain ++—and that there is absolutely NO mention on the website indicating that water leaks are to be expected when it rains was also ignored. I think an evaluation of the communication culture and structure would be appropriate here.

As compensation for the turbulent night, the children at least each received a box of cocoa. At least that’s something :-)

Good location, very poor reception
The campsite was nice.
What wasn't nice was the welcome we received from the woman at the front desk. Since I didn't have access to the app, we had to wait in the entrance area for a while and check in again, because the front desk was closed. A woman—who I assumed felt it was her duty as a camper to... enforce the rules—rudely pointed out to us that we weren’t allowed to stand there. When I replied that I was just trying to figure out if the site number I had in mind was the right one, she unfortunately didn’t introduce herself as an employee of the campground, and her idea of “help” was to glance at my printed confirmation slip and then rush off, saying: “If you’ve gotten through the gate, you can also get onto the campground…” No offer of help, no friendly “Hello,” no “How can I help you?” or “Let me just check the computer to see if the site number is correct.”
After moving into our site, we had problems with the electricity. At the front desk, I again tried very politely to get some information, but the tone there was worse than anywhere else I’ve ever been. And by the way, it wasn’t just me. A woman in front of me had a hard time staying friendly because she, too, was just snapped at. I work in the service industry myself, and I can’t afford to be that unfriendly—otherwise, I’d lose my customers. What a shame! I don’t usually pay much attention to reviews, but the main criticism in the reviews—especially on Campercontact—is exactly this: an absolutely unfriendly reception desk!!

That contributed to us not feeling well taken care of overall.
So it wasn’t all that bad that we had to leave early after just two days because of the heavy smoke from the fire in the High Fens.

Not worth 5 stars!
No entertainment during summer vacation, no trash pickup (bad smell), some restrooms closed, the mini-market closed for 2 days (so no fresh bread rolls), and the restrooms cleaned only once a day even when the campground is fully booked—that’s not worth 5 stars.

Everything's great
Our stay was wonderful; the restrooms were very modern and clean. We loved the large bathrooms (showers)! They had sinks and plenty of space to put things down. The Waldläufer restaurant was also good, with very friendly service—so all in all, we had a great time at the campground! Thank you!!!

4 Days at Eifelcamp!
It was nice, but it’s a shame that after 4:00 p.m., there was no one available who could check the emails. Unfortunately, we hadn’t written down the code and PIN correctly—these things happen!!
But when you call the emergency number and all you get is, “Not my problem” (I’m only here for plumbing),... I wish there had been
another number available. Luckily, after two hours I reached my son, who was then able to read the emails at home. Because the confirmation only included
the code for the restrooms (which I didn’t need). What if you can’t reach anyone (sleep in the car???) I also think the cars are sufficient for one or two nights; we were in Holland last year and had similar accommodations for less money but with more comfort (coffee maker, TV, larger shower, 4 cups, etc.)
Since the campground was very busy and it was extremely hot, it wasn’t very pleasant to see trash piling up in front of the bins and starting to smell.
The lake was beautiful, and the service at the campground restaurant was very friendly!!

An extremely large number of pebbles on the campsites
One week in a "Naturwagen Groß" with "Komfort Plus" camping site
Overall, it was good—it's just that the pebbles on the campsites are annoying. Not great for toddlers.

The restrooms could have been cleaner. Some of them were missing towel hooks. The large trash container by the summer meadow should have been emptied. Also, there wasn't enough shade at the campground. Larger trees would have been nice.

The restaurant doesn't deserve its stars right now
We’ve been coming here for years.
But this time, it wasn’t pleasant. The trash container upstairs was overflowing, and there was a huge pile of trash in front of it. Even though the staff drove around the grounds frequently, the trash wasn’t picked up. It stank terribly.
Some of the women’s restrooms... upstairs were closed. Some of the lights in the men’s restrooms were broken.
The showers upstairs weren’t clean. They were cleaned only once a day—in the morning, when all the visitors wanted to shower. As a result, lines sometimes formed in front of the lower restrooms.
Of all things, the children’s entertainment program wasn’t held during the holidays.
We never had these problems in all the years we’ve been coming here. Something needs to be done urgently. Right now, the campground doesn’t deserve its star rating.
There was no response to the complaint email we sent.
It’s a shame, but we won’t be recommending this campground.

The price for children under 7 is much too high and unreasonable. What a shame.
The annoyances—and yet, a wonderful time.
Hi, there’s a lot of information, and some of it becomes unclear because there’s so much of it. Take the specific example of a bakery order on the day of arrival. Automatic check-in is nice, but it doesn’t automatically reach the customer. An exception to the order deadline should apply on the day of... arrival—for example, until 8:00 p.m. In those two hours, nothing much happens at the bakery, but it makes a big difference for the customer.
Especially in the unisex area, the maintenance is rather lacking. A higher frequency of cleaning and inspections is urgently needed here. The current situation is rather disastrous (clogs, dirt, damage).
