Great campground
The lake is a dream—it has a swimming area with a sandy beach, beautiful, well-maintained green spaces, and is incredibly clean. We were there with our baby (7 months old) and had a great time camping.

There are no barriers separating the lakefront patios from the neighbors. And spot 20 gets full afternoon and evening sun. There’s no shade from trees. However, that wasn’t a problem for us.
Great Campground
A clean, very well-organized, quiet campground with a great view. All the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The restroom facilities are exemplary and always clean. We'd love to come back.

Beautiful location. A small sandy beach with no rocks where you enter the lake, and a lifeguard on duty at the dock. A manageable size with plenty of shaded areas.

Always a pleasure
We first stayed at this campground in 2019 and were happy to return. In 2026, we’ll be staying there before our tour of Slovenia and for another week afterward. The sites are large enough even for longer vehicles. There are plenty of shaded spots, some of which are on terraces. Shopping options for ...

Lawn for sunbathing by the lake. Self-check-in is available. What really stands out is the impeccable cleanliness of the restrooms—it’s second to none and, without exaggeration, remains unmatched throughout the day.
The friendliness of the younger staff at the front desk seamlessly continues the “warmth of the older generation.”
The routes to Slovenia are short.
Villach is within easy cycling distance. The bike paths start right at the campground exit. The parade of the massive Harley fan gathering at Lake Faaker See passes right by the campground.
All in all: We’ll definitely be coming back on our trips to the south.

I've never seen a campground that's been set up with such care. It doesn't get any better than this! Super clean, beautiful swimming areas, gorgeous flowers and decorations everywhere—top-notch! And the staff is very friendly.

Wonderful again
This was our third time at Mentl.
Great service, very friendly staff—it feels like the pool is being cleaned around the clock.
The campground is beautifully landscaped. You can tell there’s a lot of passion that went into it!
The location is simply fantastic. The lake is great for swimming. A beautiful bike path takes you quickly to Villach.
We’ll definitely be back.

All the staff are very friendly. The campground itself is very well-maintained, and the restroom facilities are modern and very clean. The small beach with its grassy area is also lovely, and you can walk quite far out into the water. It’s also very quiet at the campground. Perfect for relaxation. I highly recommend this campground.

A very nice campground
The campground is impressive in every way. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome right from the start. The campground store has a modern design and is very well-stocked—you can find everything you need for your stay here.

The restroom facilities deserve special mention:... they’re modern, very clean, and equipped with plenty of showers and restrooms. The entire campground is extremely well-maintained and pleasantly quiet both day and night, creating a relaxing atmosphere. A real highlight is the small, perfect beach, which adds the finishing touch to your stay.

The Mentl Campground is a beautiful spot where you can have a great vacation. The restrooms are very nice and clean. The entire campground is very well-maintained, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We’ve been coming here regularly for years and plan to continue doing so.

A very well-maintained campground, partly laid out in terraces with a lake view. Very quiet guests and very clean, modern restroom facilities.

Relaxation Through Rest
The two of us had a wonderful 13-night stay. It was a great way to relax, and the staff were very helpful. You can walk to the lake cruise dock at the neighboring campground. There’s also a small beach with a boat dock and a sunbathing area with a few lounge chairs. Highly recommended.

The beautiful view of the lake and the lovely access to the lake with a small sandy beach. A quiet spot, good restroom facilities, and a small grocery store.

A beautiful, quiet campground with great access to the lake—we really liked it.
The campground is small but lovely, with beautiful, well-maintained sites and a very peaceful atmosphere. We really enjoyed the great view of the lake and the fact that we felt like we had the lake all to ourselves in the evenings, since we were in the front row at Top 3.Nice access to the lake with... a sandy beach and a swimming dock. Good restroom facilities and, very convenient, a small shop where—I think until 10:00 p.m.—you could still get bread, wine, cold cuts, etc.
Within walking distance, there were two restaurants where you could enjoy delicious meals and a Spar supermarket. From the campground, we were able to go on great bike rides in all directions. We’d choose the same place again in a heartbeat.

Vacation in June 2026
We would visit this campground again and again—we had a wonderful vacation here. Unfortunately, we could only stay for 3 days; that’s how we’d booked it. But you can also switch sites within the campground if one is available and extend your stay without any trouble. It’s worth staying longer next time.... The sites are in a very beautiful location. The view of the lake is indescribable. We cycled around the lake twice—about 30 km, which is manageable even with kids. There’s a beautiful park on the opposite side of the lake, along with several restaurants. It’s worth taking a detour to Ossiach—the lovely church, the boat dock, and a great playground make it a great place to linger. Greetings from Sigrid and Jörg Schulze from Wolfsburg

We stayed at this beautiful campground for 9 nights.
Since it was very hot, we were really happy with our site under a large tree.
The restrooms are super clean and well-maintained.
The location by the lake, with a great swimming dock and beach, is truly fantastic.

Both the staff at the front desk and the restroom cleaning staff are exceptionally nice and friendly.
We’ll definitely be back.

A very nice campground right on the lake
A campground we highly recommend! The entire grounds are very clean and well-maintained, with lovingly landscaped flower beds that create a pleasant atmosphere. We especially loved the herb garden, where campers can help themselves to herbs.
The campground is pleasantly quiet and offers the perfect setting... for relaxation. The restrooms are cleaned several times a day and are always spotlessly clean.
The small self-service store on the grounds is also convenient, offering all the essentials for daily needs. A larger supermarket is also within easy walking distance.
For active vacationers, there are numerous beautiful biking and hiking trails in the area. The lake is ideal for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding and invites you to spend relaxing hours on the water.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

A great vacation
It really is a very nice campground. I loved the terraces because they offered a beautiful view of the lake. The owners are really nice, and the staff is friendly. Kudos for how clean the campground is, especially the restrooms. The cleaning staff does a really great job here. The farm store is also great for anyone who needs something at the last minute. We’d love to come back.

A beautiful spot right on Lake Ossiach. The restrooms are always spotlessly clean! The cleaning staff was so dedicated that she even cleaned the ceiling of the dishwashing area on Sunday. Ms. Lauritsch and her team are always very friendly! We always love coming back here! ⭐️ Five stars from us for that!

The new system for ordering bread rolls is good. However, we’ve seen a lot of people who either didn’t really know how to use it or—like me twice—simply forgot to place their order before 6:00 p.m. It would be nice if there were another way to get bread rolls for breakfast besides being sent to the Spar market. Maybe just offer bags of four bread rolls for sale alongside the bread you can buy there. But that’s just nitpicking! Actually, there are no downsides to this lovely spot. 😊👍🏼
