- WZWiebke Z.agosto 2026Nice placeBachwiese was beautiful; it would be nice to have a small bathroom there.
Wolfskehlen was nice, but unfortunately we found a wasp nest—we reported it, but nothing was done about it.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - KWKirsten W.agosto 2026A beautiful campgroundA beautiful campground with great food. Its location right on the lake is one-of-a-kind. It was a shame that the front desk was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Since my stay was from Monday to Tuesday, I didn't have anyone to turn to.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- KGKlaus G.agosto 2026VentajasProximity to the lakeDesventajasIt's a tough walk to the restrooms—that hill is a real challenge! It was nice there! The restroom facilities were really great! Hot water at all times, no matter what time of day, and clean showers equipped with soap dispensers. Top-notch! On the weekends, the place was very crowded, and by evening there was often no soap or towels left in the restrooms—in both the women’s and men’s... areas.
It annoyed me a little that I’d booked the trip because they’d advertised children’s activities, but they didn’t end up happening. There was just a note at the front desk saying they weren’t available during these summer vacations. It didn’t ruin the vacation—it was still great! And the campground was awesome, too!Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - MMMalia M.agosto 2026Campground ReviewIt was a really nice stay—super relaxing, and the lake was beautiful. - AEAlexandra E.agosto 20265 stars????We spent 5 days at this supposedly 5-star campground. Every day, the trash container—which sits prominently on a hill—was overflowing. The restrooms weren’t cleaned thoroughly or often enough either! No paper towels, no soap in the women’s and men’s restrooms at the Sommerwiese! The showers lack a proper... shelf for shower gel and shampoo. Substandard materials were used here, some of which are damaged.
We expect better service from a 5-star campground!Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - OOOliver O.agosto 2026VentajasOliverDesventajasMangelsdorfStayIt's getting better and better, but it was still very loud because hardly anyone followed the court rules.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!

- AFAlexandra F.agosto 2026Beautiful CampgroundThe site itself is very nice. The staff is unfriendly. Great campground. The restrooms are very good, but the restroom by the stream was very dirty.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- FTFamilie T.agosto 2026So-soI don't like the impersonal check-in process. You have to find your own spot and then figure out the code for the private restroom. Once you know one code, you can open all the other cabins because the code is linked to the spot number. The private restroom is clean, but there’s tall weeds growing all... around it. Also, the entire campground is swarming with mice. The next day, we went to the front desk for information, where we were treated very unfriendly by an elderly woman. The little shop is nice and run by a friendly gentleman. No entertainment. Not much value for the money.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- RDRobert D.agosto 2026BadA really terrible little spot. You’re literally right up against each other. The restrooms were very dirty. I arrived and left right away. I’m not spending any time here. No code was needed for the restrooms—the doors were open. These aren’t the kind of spots you should be charging €55 for.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!

- SDStefan D.agosto 2026VentajasLake and NatureDesventajasDeclining Quality of LifeYin and YangWe’ve stayed at Eifelcamp before and have always been very satisfied. Unfortunately, a few things didn’t go as planned:
1. We received an email regarding check-in on Sunday, even though we had booked for Monday. This caused some confusion at first.
2. The arrival time for Comfort sites (not Plus, not... Luxury) was apparently unclear to everyone involved:
We arrived at the gate at 2:00 p.m., but it wouldn’t open. Since, surprisingly, the front desk was unstaffed (unstaffed on Monday and Tuesday during peak season???), we called the service number. The gate was then opened by the groundskeeper, who grumbled as he did so. He claimed we were too early and that access wasn’t possible until 3:00 p.m. Then, at the site, there was no electricity; the service number and the groundskeeper were no longer reachable. Since the gate had been opened manually, the booking system couldn’t scan the license plate, and the site—including electricity—wasn’t activated. Our neighbor at the site reported the same problem. At 3:00 p.m., I drove out and back in. The license plate recognition worked, and with it, the reservation and the electricity. With temperatures at 36 degrees in the shade, we had to throw away half of the groceries we’d brought in the car, simply because the electricity—especially for the refrigerator—was cut off.
3. The little shop and its hours: Upon arrival, we immediately ordered bread rolls for the following day, only to discover that the shop is actually closed on Mondays and Tuesdays (during peak season!). We finally got the rolls on Wednesday. If we’d left on Tuesday, we wouldn’t have been able to buy them. This kind of information clearly needs to be included prominently in the booking confirmation so that guests can plan accordingly. In any case, the closure leads to increased traffic on Tuesdays (and probably Mondays as well), since every camper now has to drive to the nearest bakery. That’s not great. Wouldn’t it be possible for the restaurant owner to hand out the rolls on Mondays and Tuesdays???
4. Cleanliness: The restroom facility and the toilets were nowhere near as clean as during previous stays. In some cases, toilet paper and soap were missing. The women’s restroom looked even worse (some toilet seats were broken). Perhaps increasing the cleaning frequency during peak season would help curb the problem... It’s also unclear why the first cleaning shift starts at 8 a.m., essentially during rush hour.
5. To charge my electric car, I had to drive to Penny, since otherwise I would have had to pay not only for charging but also for parking on Tuesday (Checking in at the front desk wasn’t possible anyway because it was closed.
Too bad! Especially given that this is a 5-star campground with the pricing that goes along with it, this should work better (again).Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - VBVitali B.agosto 2026Great features for a low priceOur family booked the Naturwagen for a long stay and we were extremely satisfied. The staff was friendly, the accommodations were clean, and they made sure everyone was taken care of—all for a reasonable price. - KHKarlheinz H.agosto 2026Eifel CampDespite it being peak season, there is no one to contact; the front desk and kiosk are closed on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, and even on other days, they have only limited opening hoursTraducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- SBSabrina B.agosto 2026VentajasThe lake is awesome. There's a special area for dogs. For us, that's the only reason we'd come back.DesventajasThe sites are very small. The store was closed on 2 out of 3 days. The bikes were terrible. The restroom facilities weren't great, but they were okay.Campground with Some DrawbacksUnfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. We arrived on Monday. The shop was closed on Monday and Tuesday. Since we were traveling in a RV, we weren’t very mobile. We couldn’t check the opening hours in advance either, since the website just said “see notice board.” So we had no choice but to rent an... e-bike. Almost all of them were out of service; the bike station in Blankenheim was completely out of service. The new bike was defective. We had to take the bus and a taxi back—without any purchases. Now we’re having trouble with Nextbike because they won’t take responsibility for it. The spaces were very small. The restrooms were old and not very appealing. The lake was great. So was the restaurant.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- UTUlrike T.agosto 2026Camping Vacation
First of all: Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.
We felt very comfortable at your campground. We had a wonderful time with our whole family. We really liked the campground, its location right on the lake, and the atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back with the whole family.... 😊
However, there are a few points we’d like to address, as we believe they could be improved with minimal effort:
**1. Safety of the electrical box**
At our campsite, the door to the electrical box wasn’t properly locked. It was constantly left slightly ajar because the locking lever was on the outside. We asked several times for the box to be secured—unfortunately, to no avail. Since we had small children with us, we felt this was unsafe.
**2. Restroom Facilities**
The cleaning staff did a very thorough job cleaning the restrooms and showers overall. However, the shower drains were apparently not cleaned often enough. In four out of seven shower stalls, I was standing in water that wouldn’t drain, which was unpleasant.
In addition, cleaning of the showers usually began around 8:30 a.m.—exactly the time when many guests want to shower. The shower rooms were completely closed off for the entire duration of cleaning. Even areas that had already been cleaned could not be used, resulting in long lines forming outside. Many guests, including us, were annoyed by this. Allowing access to the already-cleaned showers in sections would certainly be a good solution here.
**3. Arrival**
Upon our arrival at 2:00 p.m., we encountered problems at the gate. Having to constantly back up the trailer to let other vehicles pass is anything but pleasant. The entrance also didn’t work for several other arriving guests. It wasn’t until more than half an hour later that we were able to drive onto the campground. It wasn’t until a few days later that we noticed the sign at the front desk indicating that there is a phone number for the on-call staff member in such cases. In our opinion, this sign absolutely needs to be placed right at the gate.
**4. Reception**
For a campground of this size, we found it surprising that the reception desk was completely closed on two days and wasn’t open for at least a few hours. Our emails before arrival also went unanswered. We would like to see better service in this area in the future.
Despite these criticisms, the positive impressions clearly outweigh the negative ones for us. We had a wonderful time and would be delighted if some of the points mentioned were improved. Then our stay would have been nearly perfect. Many thanks to the entire team!Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - MPManuela P.agosto 2026That's not what a 5-star rating looks likeEifel-Camp

On the day of arrival, the front desk was unstaffed. So, using the site map we’d received in advance via email, we found our way there on our own. Once we arrived at our spot, we hooked up our RV to the electrical box. It was overgrown with weeds because it hadn’t been cleared with a brush cutter in quite some time. The electrical box was open. Great for kids to play with the cables inside *not* Toilets and bathrooms are cleaned once a day at lightning speed (presumably a quick swipe with a toilet brush, restocking toilet paper, a quick wipe, and done). If you need to use the restroom at night, please remember to bring a flashlight, as the walkways are poorly lit or not lit at all. And don’t forget toilet paper and a towel—they’ll be out. When you walk out of the restrooms, you’re greeted by an unforgettable view of a completely overflowing dumpster with trash bags piled up in front of it. Trash pickup was on Mondays. Two hours later, the dumpster was full again.
You can order bread rolls via an app and pick them up at the shop the next day. The staff at the shop were very friendly. Unfortunately, that was the only contact we had with the campground staff all week. Unfortunately, for some reason, we couldn’t order any bread rolls via the app for Monday, our departure day. This is especially inconvenient with a checkout time of 12 p.m. when traveling with three children.
There are playgrounds, but unfortunately, they’re also poorly maintained. I’ve seen 5-star campgrounds that are different. I’d easily knock off 2 stars here. We won’t be coming back.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - ASAndré S.agosto 2026Very good and highly recommendedOur favorite campground for a (long) weekend getaway. - SKSabine K.julio 2026VentajasAffordableDesventajasOther than the lake, there's nothing special.MiserableWe were greeted politely at check-in but were brushed off as quickly as possible and told to figure out the campground on our own. The side paths were mostly gravel, and the loose gravel wasn’t cleared from the paved walkways after the heavy rain. The restrooms were dirty; the water wouldn’t drain in... the showers, there was hair in the drains, and 10 days’ worth of grime had accumulated on the floor. The overflowing trash containers at the Sommerwiese weren’t emptied until 10 days later. When using the restroom at the campground’s restaurant, we were asked to pay €50. There were no children’s activities offered. The grounds were unkempt—the lawn wasn’t mowed, and the hedges weren’t trimmed. The kiosk and reception were each open for only 4 hours from Wednesday through Sunday, and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, when no one could be reached. There was no free Wi-Fi and no events on-site. It was simply desolate, and the campground definitely does not deserve 5 stars. We’ve been visiting only 5-star campgrounds for over 23 years, and this one was the worst of them all.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
