The campground’s location is great for outings and hikes (e.g., the national park). Shopping is just a few minutes away in Nideggen. From the moment we arrived until we left, both we and our dog felt right at home. The restrooms are modern and clean. The restaurant on the grounds is great. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking and exploring. The Rurtalbahn takes some getting used to, but it didn’t bother us. We're going to do this more often from now on.When you come from the large, nearby city whose name starts with K and, after just about an hour’s drive, arrive in a completely different and so relaxing world filled with friendly, cheerful people, your relaxation begins the very first minute of your stay.
The site is beautifully situated on the... Rur River, and the view of the castle is one-of-a-kind.
We’ll definitely be back—and not just for the next Oktoberfest at Stüffgen. Usually, getting to know long-term campers can be a bit awkward, but here at the festival, we felt warmly welcomed.
