Our... Hetzingen campsite thrives on precisely this mix, which many guests only discover little by little: the unique location directly on the Rur, embedded in the nature of the Eifel National Park, with a panorama that is constantly changing depending on the time of day. Whether you're enjoying your first coffee in the morning with a view of the greenery or relaxing at the end of the day - you'll quickly get that special vacation feeling here.

Here you will find a variety of places where you don't have the feeling of standing close together, but really have space for yourself. Our modern and well-maintained sanitary facilities are a real highlight for many guests - as is the quiet, relaxed atmosphere throughout the site.

But what is particularly important to us is the personal touch. With us, you are not just a booking, but a welcome guest. We take our time, are happy to help and give tips for excursions that you won't find in every travel guide - be it a canoe trip on the Rur, a hike through the Eifel or simply a particularly beautiful place to relax.

There is also a lot to discover around the campsite: small towns, regional gastronomy, nature experiences and activities for every season. And this is often the difference between "it was really good" and "I really want to go there again".

Our campsite is located directly on the idyllic Rur, which makes it the perfect starting point for canoe tours, hikes and cycle tours through the Rur valley. Many guests also get on their mountain bikes here and explore the Eifel landscape. And if you want to recharge your batteries after your adventure: our café with bread roll service, the restaurant and the kiosk are there for you.

Train runs through the middle of the campsite. Loud honking every 30 minutes is really annoying.
All is well with you !!!
All in all, a stay at the campsite is recommended if you are not so sensitive to train noise.

Very pleasant atmosphere with all employees and also with the boss. Everything was clean and ran smoothly. The restaurant on site was a delight. Not expecting much and really positive surprises. Super tasty Indian dishes. Civapcici were much better than the Croatian ones at home the week before..... You can order bread rolls in advance via the campsite app. Very, very nice there. The Ruhr flows right past the site. Mega great! Mega fair price system. We'll be back:-)

A woman who talked so loudly on the phone on her pitch that three midday sleepers were woken up. It's a shame if you don't know the smallest rules on the campsite.

Whitsun 2026 with Family
Now we were with our family (20Pers with 4 generations) the 4th time over Pentecost on this place and felt very comfortable again. It was noticeable how much care is taken of the campsite and how everything is suggestively embellished and improved.
Conclusion: We have booked again for 2027 and 2028.

Here you feel completely at ease
We have been to the campsite many times and have never regretted it. The whole team is very friendly and helpful (even when there is a lot to do). The cooperation between the campers should also be emphasized here. All this is rounded off by beautiful pitches, good and clean sanitary facilities and a... great gastronomic offer in the "Hetzinger Stüffgen". There is also a kiosk for snacks, fresh bread rolls and other snacks, so there is something for everyone. For active campers, there are always free hikes and the like on offer and those who prefer a quieter time can visit the campsite's own sauna. The entire offer is now not only available on the homepage, but can also be called up in an app. The great location in the Rureifel rounds off every stay for us.

Very nice and relaxed stay actually everything top except for the garbage disposal which was only possible until 17:00, especially in the time of the barbecue season, this time is very unfavorable because there are a lot of guests who barbecue after 17:00 and then can not dispose of the garbage properly, so an opening time until 20:00 would be more appropriate in my opinion and after talking to other campers.

An all-round beautiful and warm campsite
We are completely satisfied with the Hetzingen campsite and the people here. This is the first time we have ever traveled with a caravan and we felt very welcome and well looked after right from the start.
We were greeted very warmly at the reception and were even given a bottle of sparkling wine. We... found it particularly helpful that we were helped directly with maneuvering and were given friendly instructions. Especially as beginners with a trailer, this gave us a lot of security and made the start very pleasant.
The sanitary facilities are very nice, clean and well maintained. We also particularly liked the fact that they are wheelchair accessible. We also liked the restaurant; we ate there on the first day and were very satisfied. There is also a nice café and a leisure room, which makes the site even more inviting.
We also liked the fact that the 1st of May was celebrated together with a barbecue and a cozy drink. Although we didn't take part, we think it's great that there is a sense of community here.
If you want to name a disadvantage at all, then at most the winding and bumpy approach. It's a bit more challenging with a team, but it's simply part of the Eifel.
All in all, a really nice place with friendly people, good service and a very pleasant atmosphere. We would love to come back!
