Beautiful location right on the Saalach River. Very nice, spacious restroom facilities, with large, separate, soundproofed toilets and showers. Very clean and well-maintained. Large campsites.

We had reserved two campsites. Despite repeatedly asking to be placed next to each other, when we arrived we were told that we wouldn’t be staying together. That came as a shock to us, since we had planned to vacation together. Fortunately, a capable staff member who had noticed this during our second booking was there, and we were offered adjacent spots that were available. So it had a happy ending. Nevertheless, we would like to mention this, as it was incomprehensible to us that, despite our repeated requests and notifications that this was a condition for our arrival, there were no adjacent spots available.
A very well-maintained campground
We'd love to come back, since we really liked the place. Next time, though, we'd call ahead to clarify a few things that are important to us.

We were warmly welcomed by a young woman when we first arrived.
It was also nice that we were able to set up our tent early.
I had already made a reservation in March and specified where we wanted to stay.
When we arrived, they couldn’t tell us where we would be staying.
So there were still a few spots... available.
We eventually found a spot.
Here, Abdulmutallab, no Wi-Fi—I mentioned this a few times at the front desk; someone there said they were working on it.
After a few days, I went back there, but other staff members knew nothing about it, and they suggested we just move to another spot.
You’re not going to move after one week just to stay for another week.
That doesn’t solve the problem
Also at the shop, the gentleman there isn’t really friendly, and the young girl—who probably still needs training—doesn’t say a word
Very unfortunate; we’ve been coming here for several years and have never experienced this before—everyone was always very friendly and polite
Also, the lady behind the counter doesn’t seem friendly at all—you walk in and she just stares at you with a scowl.
That’s no way to welcome anyone.
I’ve heard this from several people at the campground, too.
It’s really a shame that things have changed so much.
Hopefully you’ll do something about it so people will keep coming back to this beautiful place
And so we feel welcome again. I think the price of the tent field is way too high compared to the regular sites

Unfortunately, there aren't enough spots for dog owners—the dog zone also includes campers without dogs, which further limits the choice of spots. It would be nice to have one or two more streets for dogs—there are just so many campers with dogs.
A very nice campground
The campground is beautifully nestled in a mountainous setting, offering opportunities for lovely walks. The staff is very friendly, and the restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. The restrooms are excellent and clean. The Tuesday market is also great, where you can buy high-quality local... products.
Unfortunately, the spots for campers with dogs are very limited; a larger number would be desirable, especially since campers without dogs also have access to this area—which further limits the selection.
We would love to come back.

This is a well positioned and carefully and thoughtfully managed campsite. The camping field is relaxed and peaceful. Just what we wanted.

Dreamlike time out
It was our first stay at the Grubhof campsite. We received a very friendly welcome as soon as we arrived. The check-in went smoothly and the allocated pitch was fantastic.
The landscape is simply stunning and, in my opinion, can be seen from every single pitch.
The sanitary facilities were always clean... and of the highest standard.
We will definitely be back.
A big thank you to the whole team for creating the perfect conditions for a relaxing and restful stay.

Meadow not mowed,,, bread rolls in the store inedible,, drinks at exorbitant prices,, food so-so and overpriced,, reception partly overwhelmed,, barrier to the entrance did not recognize vehicle license plates,,,will not come again
Not what it used to be,,,since there is a new owner everything is different
Much worse now than two years ago,,were there with 4 motorhomes,,each had a different price per pitch.
Single person was more expensive than at the time in the camper.

Very clean sanitary facilities with daily cleaning, well located, as there is a lot to discover in the area and Salzburg is also less than an hour away. We stayed there for 3 nights as two trainees and for our budget it was simply mega.
The only downside was that nobody checked how/if the showers could be adjusted.

The unfriendly lady at reception, the rules about how you have to stand on the pitch, that a one-way sign is suddenly put up overnight and you have to be mobbed by other campers because of it, the non-German-speaking staff in the store and that I have to explain with my hands and feet in the morning which pastries I want, that the guest cards are sent out on Friday 15:00 if you arrive on Wednesday at 17:20, that the online check-in can be done but everything has to be entered again, that the price has increased but there are no improvements,

For us it was the last time on this site. Everything from unfriendly to incompetent was there. Thanks for nothing

We were there for a few days with our campervan and dog. We had a pitch on the tent meadow, which was very nice in terms of space when there was less going on. The sanitary facilities at the campsite are very nice, I didn't like the ones on the tent meadow so much. The staff at reception were very nice, very helpful and flexible.

The sanitary facilities on the tent meadow could be improved compared to the others, but you can avoid them. The tea kitchen is not really in use, it could be made nicer, especially if there is bad weather, it would be very nice as a possible lounge. . I think charging €4.60 for a coffee-to-go is a bit excessive.
A beautiful stay
We generally felt very comfortable and had a very nice place on the Saalach. Everything you need is there. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful time out from the mountains
The campsite is in the middle of the mountains. There are plenty of excursions nearby. There is something for everyone.

Es war alles top. Herzlichen Dank für das tolle Erlebnis. Nur das Restaurant war nicht das beste und Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis war nicht in Ordnung. Etwas mehr Qualität für die Preise war grundsätzlich zu erwarten. Mehr haben wir aber nichts negatives, dafür vieles positives. Herzlichen Dank nochmals.

There’s so much I could say: first of all, the fantastic location—a great starting point for hikes or bike rides. The fresh bread rolls in the morning were great, and the restaurant was good. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained, the layout of the campground is great, it’s peaceful, and the view of the mountains is stunning.

Our camping vacation at the Grubhof was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were thrilled by the campground’s stunning location. Nestled in a beautiful mountain landscape, the Grubhof offers a unique setting that never fails to impress, morning and evening. The pleasant... tranquility throughout the entire campground is particularly noteworthy. Despite the campground’s size, there is a relaxed and restful atmosphere that is perfect for escaping the daily grind. For nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, the Grubhof is an ideal starting point. Numerous hiking trails are located in the immediate vicinity and offer varied routes for every fitness level.
The entire facility makes an extremely well-maintained impression. Everywhere you look, you can see the dedication and care with which the team looks after the site. The green spaces are excellently maintained, and the entire infrastructure is in very good condition.

The restrooms also deserve high praise. They were always clean, modern, and well-maintained throughout our entire stay.
Another plus is the morning bread roll service. The selection of different rolls is ample and offers something to suit every taste. This way, you can start the day with a leisurely breakfast right at your campsite.

The restaurant at the campground also impressed us. The food was delicious, the quality was good, and the service was friendly. After a hike or an eventful day, you can stop by here to relax and enjoy the evening.
Overall, we can wholeheartedly recommend this campground. The combination of a fantastic location, wonderful tranquility, well-maintained grounds, clean restrooms, and a wide range of recreational activities makes this campground a special vacation destination. We felt very comfortable during our stay and would love to come back. Many thanks to the team

You can't walk your dog everywhere. There's no dog park. The convenience store is way too expensive. There's no privacy between the adjacent lots.
The Grubhof can't be held responsible for the weather!
First off: The campground can’t be blamed for the weather. The location is great! The staff is friendly. The mini-market is too expensive! Great as a starting point for hikes. Unfortunately, not enough consideration is given to campers with dogs. Dogs aren’t allowed in some areas. There’s no fenced-in off-leash area for dogs.
There’s a large green space between the sites; we’d prefer a hedge to separate them.

Great place to relax with a magnificent mountain panorama.
It was our first time at the Falkensteiner Grubhof and we liked it very much. We were a group of three caravans and got our desired pitches next to each other right by the river.
The reception was fine, although our friend got a better explanation of where to find what.
The pitches are really very spacious,... with water / waste water and electricity. All vehicles are in an orderly row, which makes the overall picture very harmonious.
The sanitary buildings are all very modern, clean and well thought out.
At the entrance you will find information about events etc.
There is a restaurant, mini market, wellness area, massages, fitness room, rental bicycles, playground with indoor area directly on site.
Dogs are allowed, there is an extra area here.
Great hiking trails start directly from the campsite.
The online check-in is brand new.
