You have to be able to turn around, especially to get to the water at the back. We couldn't find anything and had to maneuver with the trailer. But we managed itRelaxationThis was our second time on site, everything was great. Friendly staff, shopping facilities and restaurant on site. Great sanitary buildings. House 1 in particular only has large showers and WC included. Great setting and pitches with water, electricity and waste water connections. Everything is clean... and tidy. And what's great is that you never arrive at the sanitary building and it's temporarily closed for cleaning. You often have that on pitches. The location of the pitch is also great. You can reach a lot of things in the area on foot.

The washing facilities are well maintained and very clean, which also speaks for the clientele who visit this campsite. The possibility to dry towels is unique and well thought out.
The staff... are super friendly and helpful.
The food is very good and here too the staff are very friendly and courteous.
The wellness area is really nice and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair.

Large pitches, shopping facilities on site (bread rolls). Friendly staffNegativno- Slight/small changes compared to the previous owner, e.g. specifications not always adhered to as to how the caravan should be positioned (according to the site rules). - Garbage containers were not emptied, although full. - Service Do not bring gas bottles to the pitch - Emptying station at the site entrance - missing nozzle on the hose, so the water hose was often on the ground. - Night's rest from 10 pm was not given on the day of departure (03.10.25)Two weeks stay at Grubhof CampingThe place is located in the Loferer Steinberge, all-round view very beautiful.
Ideal starting point to Salzburg, Bad Reichenhall, Zell am See etc..

The pitches are very large and you have a great mountain view. There are XXL bathrooms that are not separated by gender.
I think it's great that families and couples can go together to help... each other. There are special pitches for adults looking for peace and quiet without children. That's a big plus.
Everything is very clean and well maintained.
There is a mini-market where you can buy groceries and essentials. I think it's great that you can arrive at 12.00 noon and don't have to leave the campsite until 12.00 noon
This gives you enough time to pack.
There is a restaurant on site with Tyrolean food, but I didn't visit it. There is also a wellness center with sauna on site.
You can be at the cable car in 10 minutes by bike and can go on wonderful hikes there. Many hiking routes also start from the campsite itself. The Vorderkaserklamm can be reached by bike in 40 minutes, the Lambrechthöhle in 45 minutes and the entrance to the Seisenbergklamm in 50 minutes. Everything is well worth seeing. The village of Lofer is a gem with lots of restaurants and a few small shops. You can't store here unless you want sports equipment or traditional costumes. There are some beautiful arts and crafts for sale.
I could swap my steel gas bottle and had it delivered to the campsite.
The vacation at Camping Grubhof was wonderfully relaxing and restful. It's rare to have such friendly hosts.
