A massive construction site where the noise starts as early as 7:10 a.m. The showers are dirty, and the shelf in the shower is rusty. Children are playing with remote-controlled electric cars in the quiet zone.I wonder why I should book a quiet zone if no one cares—or if guests aren’t clearly told what’s allowed and what isn’t. We’ve been regular guests for 25 years. We won’t be coming back. That’s the problem when profit takes precedence over service. It’s a real shame about this beautiful place.Once upon a time...Once upon a time, there was a great campground that, unfortunately, went from being personal to impersonal. Thanks to online check-in, arrival is very relaxed. The staff is very friendly, always willing to listen, and full of great tips. The restrooms are very stylishly designed and always clean.

Wir werden sicher wieder kommen. I don’t understand all the negative reviews online.
Yes, it has gotten much more expensive, but what isn’t getting more expensive these days? I have the option to ask about the price in advance, and if... it’s too expensive for me, I simply don’t book. But getting upset about it after the fact?
The staff is friendly and helps out whenever possible if there are any questions. Some guests should remember the saying: “What goes around comes around…”
Mareike runs the Grubhof, and she does a really great job. There are always people for whom that’s not enough.
The maintenance staff do their best and are right there when needed.
The campsite is great. Quiet, spacious, and there are plenty of bathrooms that are easy to reach. You’d be hard-pressed to find family bathrooms like these anywhere else.
We’d like to thank you once again for the wonderful time and are looking forward to January 27.
We’ve already booked, and the anticipation is the best part 😃😎👍🖖

We’d say it’s still a very nice campground, but compared to previous years, there have been several negative changes… The cleanliness of the restrooms, as mentioned above, and also the fact that there may no longer be a quiet zone—dogs and children were prohibited in the... quiet zone, which we found to be a big plus, but now there were children in that area time and again. Then, during our stay, there were 6 RVs from the Czech Republic.
The group spent 2.5... hours maneuvering around the site.
Once they were finally parked, there was a lot of commotion in our area. Loud shouting, children playing soccer and running wild across the green areas, etc.
My neighbor immediately complained to the front desk and announced that we would be leaving right away.
According to them, as long-time campers—including at the Grubhof—we should show some understanding toward people of other nationalities. As the saying goes, different countries,
different customs.
In response, I and several other campers
complained that the campground rules apply to everyone.
The situation was eventually resolved.
The group was moved to an empty spot on the tent field
.

The washhouses, with their always-clean bathrooms, are excellent. Towels are dried on radiators in a large hallway. Everything is within biking distance.
