- Alexander L.Octombrie 2025PlusuriFriendly staff; cleanliness; quiet site; dog-friendly; bus connection in front of the site;MinusuriNo shopping facilities within walking distance, only mini market.Spontaneous short vacation in MondseelandAt first glance, Camp MondSeeLand is very hidden and somewhat remote, but this makes for a very peaceful stay. The remote location naturally means restrictions for campers with motorhomes without bicycles. However, this is mitigated by the possibility of a Postbus shuttle and the option of renting e-bikes... and a car. There is a small mini-market in the reception building with the essentials and fresh baked goods in the morning without pre-ordering. The Postbus is included in the guest card, but it was not clear to us whether the registration required beforehand is only possible via the app or whether there is also a classic timetable in paper form. Paper form would be ideal for travelers without a smartphone, for example. The dog friendliness (treats as a welcome for the dog, swimming pond....), which is lived on this campsite, should be emphasized. The sanitary facilities were clean and also handicapped accessible/barrier-free, but unfortunately only a fixed shower, as we personally find a hand shower more pleasant and practical. With the exception of the swimming pool, the entire campsite is barrier-free. According to the brochure, there is a children's program in July and August. There are also three cabins to rent, but these do not have their own bathroom and apparently do not have dogs. The number of bathrooms for rent is unfortunately only limited to 2. We hiked from the campsite to the Almkogel, went on a bike tour to Mondsee and enjoyed the nature there. Simply a super beautiful area. The general condition of the entire site is excellent: everything is well-kept, tidy and lovingly laid out. You can tell that a lot of value is placed on quality and a feel-good atmosphere here. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of our pitch. There was plenty of space for the motorhome plus trailer and vehicle.
We really enjoyed our 14-day vacation with two dogs, who were greeted with a "treat" on arrival.
There was a separate... exercise area for the four-legged friends and there were plenty of dog bags/Robidog available for disposal. Unfortunately, there are still dog owners who have not understood the importance of picking up their dog's excrement.
Worth mentioning was the deployment of the Mondseeland team, which we were able to experience after a car breakdown. We were picked up together with the dogs from the garage, which was about 15 km away from the campsite. The same applied to the collection of the vehicle. Bravo, great effort, which we really appreciated and is not usual.

You have to drive exactly to hit the drain hole and if you drive up forwards not everything runs out of the gray water tank. The size of the campsite is perfect: manageable, but equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay.
The sanitary facilities, which are always... spotlessly clean, and the covered outdoor pool, which can also be used in bad weather, are particularly positive features. For families with children, the playground and the Robinson path are a real highlight - safe, varied and lovingly designed.
The staff are extremely friendly and the whole place seems very well organized and well maintained.

From the first very friendly contact at the reception to our departure everything was perfect. The site is very clean and everything is beautifully laid out. The sanitary building is super functional and everything from showers to toilets is plentiful and always clean! Sculleries and the rooms where the washing machine and dryer are located are top modern and functional. Waste disposal as well as gray water and chemical toilet disposal are also perfect and mega functional, also the guest portal of the place where you always have your electricity consumption and costs in mind are great, the restaurant on the square is nice and the food there is delicious and fair in terms of pricing, the swimming pool is also very nicely laid out and designed.MinusuriBasically, there are no disadvantages on the course. Perhaps there could be a little more choice in the course's own store.The first time ........We enjoyed our stay so much that we will definitely come back again.
