A charming village worth visiting, with a gas station, restaurants, and shopping nearby, and many attractions in the surrounding area.
Check-in via a kiosk or at the front desk; very friendly welcome.
The campground is very well-maintained and clean;... the front section has several level, mostly unshaded sites with fine gravel surfaces, as well as many grassy sites—some of which are not marked off—while the rear section features sites partly under or next to trees.
The restrooms are spotless, though in my opinion they’re a bit small for the size of the campground—at least when fully occupied (during the holiday season?!).
Nice swimming pond, herb garden, bread roll service, and the option to order Thuringian bratwurst and grilled items; a selection of drinks, ice cream, etc., is available at the reception desk. A Camperclean machine is on-site.

The campsites are very well-maintained, and you certainly won’t need an awning mat here. The natural swimming area is beautifully landscaped, making swimming a real pleasure.
The... restroom facilities are adequate and always clean.
We only used the bread roll service once because the pickup time was too late for us. The bread rolls themselves, however, were very good. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Check-in using the kiosk also worked very well. We’ve rarely experienced such a beautiful campground and such nice and accommodating staff. The campground is very centrally located; you can reach Oberhof, Erfurt, Eisenach, Gotha, and Arnstadt very quickly. These cities are worth visiting.
