We were there without a child, but there are plenty of recreational activities for kids.
The Bootsmann restaurant comes highly recommended. The service is friendly, and the food is excellent.
We rented a trailer.... The built-in kitchen has everything you need. Overall, it’s very modern and well-equipped.
Unfortunately, the beach is a pebble beach, but it’s still okay and located right next to the campground.

In our opinion, improvements should be made to the entertainment area. Television should be off-limits. The excessive noise is disruptive even for children. We collected stones on the beach with our grandchildren and painted them... in the “Oasis” using the markers provided. Other children liked the idea and joined in.
The clown/magician/pirate was very well-received by the audience, especially thanks to the educational activities.
The Sunset Farm rounds out the entertainment package with horses, llamas, and alpacas. We took advantage of everything.
The grocery store offers everything you need for daily life. The day gets off to a great start with fresh rolls. The prices are higher than usual.

Fii primul! - NKN K.August 2026Top spot!!We come to Wallnau every summer with three dogs and three kids, and we’re very grateful that we were able to keep our D10 campsite again this year. Spending time with our kids of different ages, as well as our three dogs, is above all laid-back, family-friendly, and wonderful!
One positive thing to... note this year is that the supermarket’s selection has gotten even better (fresh fruits and vegetables and vegan products)!
The evenings with the DJ are a blast for all ages! The sunsets are a dream.
Also, the sports program was much better than in previous years, and yoga in particular was really well-received—the instructor was great! Unfortunately, the evening yoga sessions were very rare and always packed (especially if you want to do something during the day—it’s awesome, and hopefully there’ll be more of them in 2027). Also, the yoga sessions unfortunately ended before the end of the summer break in Schleswig-Holstein; we would have loved to go again during the last week.
After all these years, the morning arts and crafts sessions are still a huge hit with the kids (even if they end up making the same things twice). And there was a parent-child arts and crafts session this time, too—the only downside being that the themes were repeated.
The restrooms were always clean! Friendly staff.

My only criticism:
Yes, kids have the right of way. But what some kids—some as young as three or four—get up to on their bikes, and in some cases on electric scooters that require registration,... is simply dangerous, irresponsible, and crosses the line into “neglect of supervisory duty”!!!
Unchecked recklessness in its purest form—it even led to a child on an electric scooter, about three years old, yelling at me from the opposite direction to “get out of the way.”
The icing on the cake was when I had to carry a little girl—who’d just been knocked over by another child while “jumping off a ramp”—all the way across the square to her mother. Nobody else saw it, though.
Something really needs to be done about this.

Everything was close by, and the restrooms were excellent. Unfortunately, we had to leave three days early due to a death in the family. Since this couldn’t have been foreseen, we... naturally didn’t have any travel cancellation insurance. We would have appreciated a small gesture of goodwill in that regard.
