A few fewer pitches and the edges away from the only path would be helpful. The permanent... campsite is very unkempt in places.
The site would also be beautifully situated on the Ruhr if it weren't for the constant barking from the kennels above during the week.
The 2 points are for the friendliness at reception and the very clean sanitary facilities.

No shopping facilities for daily needs, only bread roll service. Long distances to a grocery store. Not even a small swimming pool, plus water saving measures in the showers. 5 seconds of water until the next pressure on the tap. No indication that you... are not allowed to bathe in the Ruhr. To get from the Ruhr to the site at night, just an old, numbered padlock on the fence, the combination of which can never be changed. The campsite is right on the Ruhr and only 5 minutes from the Essen Werden S-Bahn station. Very good public transport connections in all directions, the rail replacement service also ran smoothly.

Er ist natürlich auch noch recht neu, dass sieht man natürlich, was die Sache natürlich von Sauberkeit und Neuheit sehr hervorgehoben hat. Ich könnte es mir anhand der Sanitär Anlagen und der Lage auch vorstellen mit meinem Partner nochmal vorbeizuschauen, auch mit normalen Campen.

The campsite is beautifully located directly on the Ruhr with great cycling and hiking trails in the middle of nature.
Although the site is very large, it is very quiet.
Only the airplanes to and from Düsseldorf are a bit annoying. But that's not the campsite's... fault.
The team at the check-in/out is very friendly and competent and also helps with all questions and problems.
The sanitary facilities in the rear area are new, ultra-modern and spotlessly clean. I can't judge the front sanitary facilities because I wasn't there.
The whole campsite is fenced in and the gate with access to the Ruhr is locked at night, which I think is very good.
The only thing I find overpriced are the prices in the restaurant. But the food is good.
