- MDMiekje D.julio 2026VentajasMooie camping, schoon sanitair, grote douches, mooie plekken.
- CVCynthia V.julio 2026VentajasPitchDesventajasLack of sanitary facilities. Not clean.StayMore and better sanitary facilities.
Pitches at the field are good.
Watersupply is dirty.
I expected more for this price.
- AKAndreas K.julio 2026VentajasGreat location, beautiful, spacious sites. Great, modern wash houses. Beautiful places to explore, even by bike. The location right on the Saalach.DesventajasSome sites, like the one we were initially assigned—site 454—were so rocky and uneven that it was impossible to align the trailer. Besides, I don’t think it was actually 180 m². The alternate spot, 514, was great— spacious, level, and with a fantastic view.Beautiful CampgroundA truly beautiful campground in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back. However, it’s important to keep an eye on how prices change after the change in ownership.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- MNMarina N.julio 2026VentajasGreat location. Stunning view.DesventajasSome of the staff were unfriendly.Fantastic once again....We love this campground and have already booked our stay for next year. Unfortunately, there was a very unfriendly staff member at the front desk. She always seemed annoyed and took her bad mood out on her coworker right in front of us. Other than that, everything was great once again. Thank you very much.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- LALisa A.julio 2026VentajasLocationDesventajasCleanliness / Hygiene / Number of Restrooms Friendliness at the Front Desk Condition of the Gym Price, especially the electricity fee Privacy / Distance from NeighborsWe are disappointed. This was our seventh visit to Camping Grubhof since 2019, and after this year’s stay, we won’t be coming back. The number of restroom facilities was nowhere near enough for the number of guests; they were often dirty, and there was a foul smell of sewage.
We’ve always enjoyed staying on the tent field,... but this time it was a disaster! We were squeezed in so tightly that we couldn’t even drive our van out, let alone walk around it. A €6 flat rate for electricity? At other campgrounds, you’re billed based on usage—we probably would have paid almost nothing there! The condition of the gym is simply poor. And the friendliness at the front desk leaves much to be desired. Out of three interactions, only one was friendly. It used to be much different before this chain took over. And the price of €88 per night for two adults on the tent field is just outrageous! Too bad—we won’t be coming back.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - HDHannah D.julio 2026VentajasThe location and the many activities that the Saalach Card makes so easy are fantastic! The river and its beach are perfect for kids.DesventajasWe think the flat-rate electricity fee on the campground is too expensive. Unfortunately, we were quoted a different price for our stay beforehand. We would have appreciated better communication.Great locationThe place is perfect for families and offers great activities in the area. We had two wonderful weeks there.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- SWStefanie W.julio 2026VentajasBeautiful location; it was completely quiet on our lot since there were no children or dogs in our areaDesventajasWe had to walk a little farther to the washhouseA Dream VacationAfter 14 days, we left this morning with a touch of sadness, and I have to say, it was a dream vacation. The campground’s location was beautiful—we’ve never stayed anywhere better. We were there as a couple, and the owner made sure we were in a child- and dog-free zone, which I found very pleasant since... I’m a preschool teacher by profession and enjoyed the peace and quiet on vacation. The campground offers many amenities: a sauna (absolutely lovely—I used it when it was raining, and it was a real bargain at €10; my husband would have been included but didn’t want to go), a fitness room for €2 per day, and a wellness area (which I didn’t use).
With the Saalbach Card, we were able to use the cable car in Lofer for free (you could have taken it up every day), as well as many nearby attractions (Seisenbach and Klusen Gorges, Lambrecht’s Cave…).
We brought our bikes and went on lots of great bike rides. We ate at the Grubhof restaurant twice—the food was really delicious, and the staff was very friendly. The small supermarket had fresh rolls every day, but be careful not to sleep in too long, or they’ll be sold out. Otherwise, the store is overpriced, but there are three supermarkets nearby for shopping. There are three laundry facilities equipped with state-of-the-art appliances; however, I think two washers and two dryers per facility aren’t enough, since there was always a long line there. We’ll definitely be coming back because we were thrilled.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - LHL.H.
- NVNiels V.julio 2026VentajasVery nice big pitches. Noted they advertise about 180 SQM but this includes the grass part. On the grass you are not allowed to set up your tent. Nevertheless the pitch is enough for big tent and 2 small ones with the car. The sanitair equipment is very nice with XXL family bath rooms.DesventajasNear the river can be a bit noisy due to swimming and playing kids. Not a problem when you aware of this. We stayed at the normal XXL pitches.Very nice camping! We definitely will come back another time! There a lot of hiking an biking trailsNingún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- BLBen L.julio 2026VentajasEverything was nice, relaxed, and clean.DesventajasThe staff at the restaurant were unfriendly. And they could play some music in the restrooms and make them smell fresher.EmployeesIt was great for a summer vacation, and there was plenty nearby, like grocery stores and attractions, but the little kids were often screaming.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- BPBenjamin P.julio 2026VentajasThe spot is one-of-a-kind, with a beautiful view and access to great biking and hiking trails. The stream is perfect for the kids and for people and animals to cool off.DesventajasThe restrooms had a strong odor and were, in some cases, very dirty—with dried bloodstains on the floor and feces in the toilets. The shower drains were heavily soiled,A Nice Vacation with a Few Minor DrawbacksAll in all, very good. Points are deducted because some people just can’t seem to follow the rules. For example, dogs running loose—which then attack your own dog or, simply by being off-leash, cause other dogs to get agitated. Similarly, using the open areas between the campsites as a bike track for... kids—which is fine—but people should be considerate when dogs are lying in front of the RVs. The restroom facilities (river side / men’s) were, in some cases, heavily soiled.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- AFAnna-Maria F.julio 2026VentajasExtensive restroom facilities, and always clean We stayed there with our dog and can't say enough good things about it—there's a trash can or hand sanitizer dispenser in every corner! And yet everything was clean! The staff was friendly and always willing to answer our questions! All in all, absolutely worth the money!DesventajasIt’s amazing how there are always people who don’t put their dogs on a leash, even though it’s required! We’ve personally been lucky that none of these dogs have found their way over to us, since our dog isn’t very sociable when on a leash! But that’s not the campground operator’s fault!10 unforgettable daysWe were there with our dog and can't say enough good things about it—there's a trash can or a bag dispenser around every corner!
And everything was still clean!
The staff was friendly and always willing to answer any questions!

The very spacious sites, the very friendly staff, the large restrooms, and the location are simply top-notch. You feel completely at home here, and if you’ve been here often, like we have, it feels a bit like coming home every time—and it’s hard to leave! But one vacation ends, and another begins, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
- MVMarc V.julio 2026VentajasGreat venues and skilled house masters, plus MarijkeDesventajasThe front desk is a total disaster. Marijke is the right person for the job, but the two employees at the desk are a disaster. The Greek woman and the one with tattoos are too lazy to work. They blame everything on the system, and according to them, you can’t even book directly anymore. Marijke ended up sorting it out herself. The bill was wrong, and the front desk employee came across as very arrogant. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and the decline in service is obvious.Stay with a CaravanBack in the day, you’d see the campground manager every day; now nobody knows who’s in charge.
The structure’s gone—get up from your chair and do something about it.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero! - MWManuel W.julio 2026VentajasCampground location, restroom facilities, friendly staff, restaurant, Camperclean, great swimming in the Saalach River with fun for the whole family—don't forget your swim rings or air mattresses 😀DesventajasThe driveway turns right after the entrance and is a bit narrow for larger vehicles; the selection at the mini-shop is very small; there's no way to pre-order bread rolls;A Wonderful VacationGreat campground for families and couples alike, centrally located near many attractions and activities. With the guest card and mobility card, you get free bus rides (as far as Salzburg) and free admission to gorges, caves, etc. Free rides on the Lofer Bergbahn with great hiking trails. The location is perfect for cyclists looking for beautiful bike rides.

The location, the river, the campsite, and the restrooms—everything was perfect. We had a campsite with plenty of grassy space out front, so the kids could play there. The location is perfect—we were able to go on lots of outings either by bus or by bike. Whether it was the gondola, the gorge, hiking, or bike rides.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!
Johan H.julio 2026VentajasNice campsites with electricity and water. The restrooms are nice and clean.Desventajas-You need to press the shower buttons harder. The water flow is lower. - The total electricity cost is no longer included. - You can’t try out the gym for just one day to see if the equipment fits your workout routine; you have to pay €2 per day upfront for the entire period. Over a 14-day period, that costs more than a monthly gym membership in Belgium. - The quality of the restaurant isn’t what it used to be. The pizzas are expensive and have very few toppings. The schnitzel looks exactly like the frozen ones you find at Billa; I didn’t recognize the delicious schnitzel from two years ago. What a shame.Grushof as Falkensteiner Camping?Nice campsites with electricity and water. The restrooms are nice and clean.
When settling the bill upon arrival, the advance payment had somehow disappeared. Not exactly professional.
- You need to press the shower buttons harder. The water pressure is low.
- The total electricity charge is no longer... included. However, Grushof’s prices aren’t cheap.

I get the impression that the transition to Falkenstein hasn’t been so good for the quality of the campground and its services. I hope I’m wrong. If I return to the campground, I’ll definitely check first to see if the quality and service are still up to standard. After 20 years of camping, my experience is that such takeovers aren’t always in the customers’ best interest.Traducido automáticamente.Ningún campista ha encontrado útil esta valoraciónaún. ¡Sea el primero!- BSBeant S.julio 2026VentajasClose to the river and hiking trailsDesventajasCheck-in took a long time. Although many regular parking spots were available, we were assigned a spot for our RV in the tent campground. There is only a very basic restroom building with just a few toilets for this very large area. So there was no sign of any “wellness” facilities. Nevertheless, we were charged the full price of €73.Poor value for the moneyCheck-in took a long time.
