Such a harmonious campground. Everything is clean, well-planned, and just right. Plenty of space for everyone. Direct access to the lake view. A great starting point for bike rides and... hikes. Very kid-friendly, even though I was traveling without children. And it was great to have live music every Thursday—I really enjoyed it. Well, all in all, it was my first time traveling alone, and yet I didn’t feel alone in this world of camping. It would be helpful to know that if you’re assigned a site without trees, you should bring a tarp. Otherwise, at 32 degrees, you’ll melt in the sun (luckily, we had one with us). The sunbathing... area is nice, the beach next door is great, and the rental of various sports equipment is super convenient.
A ping-pong table or a basketball hoop would be great for teenagers.
It would have been helpful to have directions for the special bus (Nockl Bus) right on the main street. As a tourist, you don’t want to have to constantly read up on everything.
The Thursday program with a band, music, good vibes, and fun was really great. We saw people dancing. We were given a spacious spot in the second row from the lakeshore, with a beautiful view of Lake Millstadt and the magnificent mountain scenery. The location is a perfect starting point... for cycling and mountain biking tours, as well as beautiful hikes in the nearby Nockberge Mountains. Top tip: Visit the Alexanderalm, the Schwaiger Hut, and the Millstädter Hut!!!
