When showering, the timer... only pauses when the card is removed from the holder; if you simply turn off the water, the timer continues to run. We especially appreciated the warm hospitality we experienced throughout our entire stay. The campground’s website is very well organized, which allowed us to get a good overview just by browsing it. The fact that you can check in on your own during the reception’s scheduled breaks is actually quite convenient, but it means that vehicles are constantly driving onto the grounds. Although a site map is mounted... on the wall at the self-service check-in area, it would be helpful—to make it easier to find the assigned campsite—if a printed, accordion-fold copy of the map were available.
The extremely rigid policy on ground cover is very disruptive because, in practice, only one product is permitted, and the campground management is not open enough to other products that have also been proven to possess the necessary air and water permeability. It is understandable, of course, that they do not want impermeable plastic or similar films on the grass. However, it’s not exactly uplifting when, after a long drive in intense heat and upon setting up, your first personal interaction with the course staff (management) is being told to pack up the carpet—which is actually suitable—without any thorough inspection. In general, the patronizing attitude at this campground is quite pronounced, and they’re also fairly resistant to other suggestions and convinced of their own point of view. It’s a shame.
