It was a long walk to Stein am Rhein (although very much worth it) and we went on the train to visit lake Konstanz which was expensive (£70 for 2 adults and 2 dogs) and we still had to walk for around 45 minutes to get to the port when we arrived. The campground has a very pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere, and you quickly feel at home. There are plenty of ways to enjoy your time there: The pool is perfect for cooling... off, and we especially loved the barbecue area for cozy evenings together.
We really enjoyed it both times and would love to come back. The location overlooks the Untersee, and the sunset to the west is amazing. The restroom facilities are a dream—especially the new ones, which almost look like they’re in a 4-star hotel.... The entire grounds are top-notch, and the landscaping and lawns are beautifully maintained. Beautiful campsites, a large playground, a pool with a sunbathing area, and the forest right next door. The very nice and cozy bistro serves great coffee and has a lovely terrace.
It’s all very idyllic, nestled in nature with the forest, lake, and river.

For nature lovers.Negativa-We'd love to do it again!Even though we live just 10 minutes away from Hüttenberg, we really appreciate the atmosphere. The view. The pool. The entire grounds are very well maintained. There’s a small shop on site in case you need a Plan B, and a bistro that’s open daily. Friendly staff. You can wash your dishes by hand or put... them in the dishwasher for 1.00 CHF. There’s so much more I could list. It’s not for nothing that it’s one of the most beautiful campgrounds in Europe.
