Friendly, helpful host family - you feel welcome. Spacious pitches and plenty of supply points for water and electricity. Small store on the campsite for rolls, bread and basic supplies.
The location is great: you can be at Schwerin Castle in half an hour via cycle... paths (!). Many activities and excursions are possible here. The good network of cycle paths takes you as far as Wismar (and back by train...).
When the additional buildings are completed, the CP will be even better developed - shorter walking distances.
Here the permanent campers are well mixed with the tourist pitches - creates a cozy atmosphere.

For example, we couldn't find peace and quiet with Wi-Fi and that's why there isn't any. Instead, you could do useful things here in the creative center, such as making pottery or candles. The indoor games hall is dusty and... unkempt. To use the gym, I have to pay extra money to have someone look after me because some equipment that nobody needs has to be adjusted. The store sells so-called regional organic products! -Highest prices for eggs and vegetables. The expensive homemade "organic" ice cream, for example, tastes wonderfully like organic water. Incidentally, I can recommend the entrance to the sanitary building and the vicinity of the washbasins for observing nature, e.g. cute eight-legged animals. But in return - so they say - you would be doing your bit for the climate on a great sustainable campsite...? For example, I would offset 10 kg of CO2 per day...? ???... I didn't even know that I breathe less here than anywhere else???... -and then every hour a tractor with a water truck drives past the pitch, which very "sustainably" distributes lots of water all over the campsite. We have been here at the campsite for a week. We are very satisfied, we have a very nice and large pitch, it is a standard pitch, it is very central not far from the water, toilets and store. The store has everything you need.
The sanitary facilities are very clean.
There is a hall... where you can play table tennis.
The restaurant on the site is also very good and when the weather is nice there is also a small food truck with great prices.
It's very easy to cycle to Schwerin, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes.

Friendly staff at the reception. The restaurant "Oberförster" (not part of the campsite) is recommended, reservation is advisable.NegativnoDuring the holidays, you can expect disrespect from other campers. These people no longer know the rules. Groundsmen who do a round during the rest periods and ensure peace and quiet = "FIRED" Extremely loud, inconsiderate, cheeky, drunk, TV, radio. In the area of the "roof-only houses" there also seems to be a party mile. Hours of cutting wood for private use and chopping with heavy equipment in the rear area does not contribute to relaxation. Long distances (at least 15km (there/back) to go shopping Access to the pitches, uneven and with potholes. No accessibility, neither to the toilet nor to the dishwashing area. The entire sanitary area was built as an open hall construction. I.e. everything open at the top, simple partition walls at the bottom. In the men's shower you can hear the "flatulence" from the women's toilet and vice versa. You can also hear every sentence that is spoken there. Unkempt pitches, many without water and waste water. Better ask beforehand where these pitches are! The disposal point for chemical toilets was probably once a place where fish were gutted. The flushing hose is much too short and in the state it was before the reunification. It is collected in a 10m³ pit and pumped out. The dishwashing stations were set up as open outdoor stations. The condition of the wooden racks is an imposition. In the sun you get sunburn and in the rain you get webbed feet. You have to rent plugs for the sinks for €5 at the registration desk!Definitely - for us - not a premium campsite!To all "positive evaluators", I wonder if you have been to the campsite we were at or how you can describe these sanitary facilities as good. Perhaps your standards are "much lower" than ours.
6 toilet bowls, 2 squat toilets like in France, 6 urinals, 8 showers in the men's area for 110 permanent campers... and 220 tourist pitches are very tight. When we were there, the toilet seats were "glowing" and there were queues at the toilet bowls.
Privacy and cleanliness look different - Mr. Reuter!
Chemical toilet:
It is collected in a 10m³ and pumped out. When the pump truck comes - better run away - it stinks terribly
Unkempt pitches, many without water and waste water. Better ask beforehand where these pitches are!
Designated premium pitches are more expensive without water and waste water - great logic. Pitches on the plateau have water and waste water.
Overall:
Unfortunately, this campsite cannot be described as premium as advertised in the "Premium Camps" brochure. We consider this to be a presumptuous claim and unfair advertising.
The sanitary facilities are no longer up to date and not at all modern. The sanitary blocks smell strongly of "sewer". Repeatedly referring in the brochures to new sanitary blocks that are neither finished nor usable is not acceptable. The pitches are very muddy because they have depressions that are not filled in.
From our point of view, there is really nothing premium about this campsite. Friendliness is not a predicate for premium, I expect that everywhere as a customer.

A new building was announced for 2024, but has obviously been lying fallow for a long time. Electricity is very far away from the pitch and water/waste water is not even available on the premium pitches. Otherwise everything is very central.
Had a lot of fun, the lake and the surrounding... meadows and forests very beautiful. It's a shame that you're not allowed to cycle anywhere along the lake. Small kiosk with regional things and bread rolls. Bread rolls very small in my opinion but the service great.
What cost a star was that you have to wash up outside and the streets have a lot of potholes.
