We really liked our pitch in the motorhome harbor, we had a view of the lake and enjoyed it very much.

The many potholes on the access roads, which are not only challenging for the vehicles, but also for us as pedestrians (my mother walks with a rollator and cane). The lighting on the way to the sanitary block was also not quite adequate and we were out and about with a flashlight. But these are small things!

Lots of greenery, the lake is not far away, Schwerin can be reached quickly by car

Very friendly welcome - family atmosphere. Large pitches with many supply points electricity / water. Bathing beach in the CP area - public bathing jetty within walking distance. The current sanitary building is clean and large enough.

No disadvantages - just one request as a suggestion: if the CP is not fully booked, it would be nice if you could choose one of the free pitches yourself. could choose one of the free pitches yourself.

"Premium pitches" without direct electricity and water connection -> water tap 150m away depending on the pitch; electricity box centrally located (very long cable required!); no real parcelling of the pitch -Far too few toilets for far too many guests, sanitary facilities are getting on in years, just like the respective "new building sites" in front of them, So it's not going to be a quick buck ;)

Premium pitches without water and waste water, the sanitary buildings are getting on in years, but clean. No WLAN on the pitch Paths with potholes And almost everything closed in the low season

Location of the CP on Lake Schwerin, close to Schwerin, Wismar, Poel Island, Ludwigslust, the Baltic Sea coast and its excursion destinations and the well-developed cycle paths in the surrounding area. Friendly staff at the reception. The restaurant "Oberförster" (not part of the campsite) is recommended, reservation is advisable.

During the holidays, you can expect disrespect from other campers. These people no longer know the rules. Groundsmen who do a round during the rest periods and ensure peace and quiet = "FIRED" Extremely loud, inconsiderate, cheeky, drunk, TV, radio. In the area of the "roof-only houses" there also seems to be a party mile. Hours of cutting wood for private use and chopping with heavy equipment in the rear area does not contribute to relaxation. Long distances (at least 15km (there/back) to go shopping Access to the pitches, uneven and with potholes. No accessibility, neither to the toilet nor to the dishwashing area. The entire sanitary area was built as an open hall construction. I.e. everything open at the top, simple partition walls at the bottom. In the men's shower you can hear the "flatulence" from the women's toilet and vice versa. You can also hear every sentence that is spoken there. Unkempt pitches, many without water and waste water. Better ask beforehand where these pitches are! The disposal point for chemical toilets was probably once a place where fish were gutted. The flushing hose is much too short and in the state it was before the reunification. It is collected in a 10m³ pit and pumped out. The dishwashing stations were set up as open outdoor stations. The condition of the wooden racks is an imposition. In the sun you get sunburn and in the rain you get webbed feet. You have to rent plugs for the sinks for €5 at the registration desk!
