There are many ways to get right down to the lake. The reception desk, restroom facilities, and the Seealm are all within easy walking distance. The restrooms are spacious and clean.
There’s a delicious restaurant and a bread roll delivery service.
It’s a quick trip into town, and there are plenty of things to do.

It’s the first—and so far the only—campground I’ve experienced where you can honestly say you feel comfortable using these facilities. The restrooms are exceptionally clean and well-maintained—you immediately feel at home here. The direct access to the lake is perfect for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying nature.
The bakery is especially convenient in the morning, and the restaurant also offers delicious... food in a pleasant atmosphere.
A big shout-out to the owners: They’re incredibly friendly, warm, and always helpful. You can tell that their guests’ well-being is truly important to them.
We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Unfortunately, one annoying thing is that even as a long-time customer, you have to reserve a spot about a year in advance—if there’s even one left—and that it gets really crowded around this time of year (July), with all the positive and negative consequences... that entails. Lake Waginger and the Bavarian Alpine foothills are a feast for the eyes. The campground is quiet and very relaxing. The campground operators go out of their way to ensure that guests are comfortable. We’ve been there three times already and will definitely be back.
