A Perfect Week of Vacation
My first time at the campground—and certainly not my last.
Relaxation and activities went hand in hand, along with a great dinner served by very friendly staff.

Beautiful campground, extremely clean, very friendly owners, staff, and employees. A natural pond in the middle. Generally very quiet. A common area with lots of bread ovens and a large freezer full of pastries to bake yourself. We thought that was really cool. A wonderful restaurant at the campground.

Dogs are allowed—and supposedly welcome. However, they’re not allowed to pee or do their business on the site. The dog park, where it’s permitted, was very far away from us. My dog never managed to make it there, and people made a bit of fun of us. There are a lot of long-term campers who have the best spots, and they don’t get along very well with the non-long-term campers. It wasn’t just me who noticed this; others have mentioned it as well.
Highly recommended!!!
I would have preferred it if dog owners were separated from non-dog owners at the campsite—with separate areas (as is the case at other campgrounds). That way, no one would really bother anyone else. Otherwise, I’m absolutely thrilled with the Murinsel; it was a pleasant, relaxing mini-vacation. We enjoyed it very much.

It's only a 45-minute drive to this wonderful place, and we realized once again that you don't have to go very far to just relax and slow down.

On Saturday, we decided on the spur of the moment to spend the night at this campground; we’ll definitely be back, and next time we’ll use the tennis court right next door.
All we can say is, everything was GREAT—from the welcome at the front desk to the campsite. Everything was clean, everyone was friendly, and the restaurant was top-notch, too.

A dream campground!
We were on our way back from our vacation in Croatia and just wanted to take a break from that noisy, very hot campground in Croatia at a campground in Styria (we’d already stopped at the 50 Plus campground there last year on our way back from Greece) to relax and ease back into our daily routine at... home in Germany (Chemnitz, Saxony). We got lucky and booked five days at the Murinsel campground. As soon as we exited the highway, we were impressed by how well the campground was signposted. Although the friendly staff had also given us precise directions again during the reservation process. After all, it’s doubtful we would have made it safely under the 2.80-meter bridge and through the sharp curve that followed.
This first impression continued throughout our stay (we booked 5 days but extended it by 2 right away because we couldn’t—and didn’t want to—leave) and grew stronger every day!
Whether it was the very friendly, genuine welcome, the tour of the campground by Conny (?), the exceptionally beautiful, peaceful campground (56—which also happens to be our birth year), the extremely clean, lovingly designed restrooms, the great common room (after all, the weather can turn really bad sometimes and the trailer gets too cramped, or the World Cup is on), the option to buy bread rolls, milk, butter, and eggs and bake them right away (even with a disposable glove) in a preheated oven—everything was well thought out and camper-friendly. The always-clean little cloth by every sink, the frog with its mouth wide open that “swallows” the trash, the disposal option for chemical toilets (one-of-a-kind), the coverings for the electrical hookup booths, etc. And of course, the cozy Murstübel! Everything went smoothly at checkout too—a few friendly words from Conny (?), a sad goodbye from us, and: WE’LL BE BACK!!!!!!!!

Excellent Campground
The Murinsel Campground stands out for its location on the outskirts of town, with a very well-maintained grounds and a pond. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The on-site restaurant is very popular—apparently even with locals—which in turn suggests that the food is of high quality.
In any case, we had a wonderful week (aside from the weather, but the operators can’t be blamed for that) at the campground.

Camping by the lake, close to nature
A very pleasant atmosphere where you can really relax. A warm welcome, well-maintained campsites by the lake, clear water, and spotless cleanliness in the restroom facilities and throughout the entire property. The Murstube serves delicious food with friendly service. So everything was perfect for a wonderful vacation. We’d love to come back!

Great campground
Our stay was great. Friendly staff, including the restaurant staff.
Great facility—clean, quiet, and dog-friendly. We decided to come on a whim and made a reservation the night before—no problem at all.
The shower and restroom facilities are comfortable and clean.
The option to bake your own rolls is... great and not expensive.
The Red Bull Ring is a leisurely 20-minute bike ride away. There are plenty of shopping options about 10–15 minutes away by bike.
We’d definitely come back!! :)

A campground I highly recommend
We had a wonderful stay at your campground. It was very clean and well-maintained,
the campsites were spacious, and the restrooms were clean. Special mention goes to the outdoor showers and your friendliness. The natural swimming pond is fantastic and is a great way to cool off in the morning or after... hiking or biking. The food at the Murstüberl restaurant and the pizza from Mateo on Tuesdays come highly recommended.
A trip to the Teichalm and the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg are must-dos. The surrounding area is beautiful and offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, or just relaxing. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back, as there’s still so much for us to explore.

Top campground on the Mur River or along the Radwegg
A very well-maintained, beautifully landscaped campground next to the Mur River. A pleasant size and easy to navigate. Beautiful restroom facilities—everything is truly top-notch. We'll be back in the off-season to go cycling.

Top Campground 🤩
The campground is in a gorgeous natural setting. It’s exceptionally well-maintained and everything is very clean. Everyone is super friendly, and you feel right at home. For dogs, there’s a swimming area as well as a very, very cool, large, shaded, fenced-in dog run—which is perfect when it’s hot. The... lake is also great for swimming and relaxing. You can also go on fantastic rides on a mountain bike or road bike right from the campground. We absolutely loved the campground 👌🤩

A nice, well-maintained campground. A water spigot and wastewater drain next to the trailer. And a hand truck for the toilet cart. The restrooms and showers are clean and spacious. We had a nice, large shaded spot. There’s a restaurant. A baker comes by a few times a week. Supermarkets are nearby. A beautiful campground.

You can cycle to the junctions from the campground. Beautiful routes through small villages; the Red Bull Ring is nearby.

I can’t praise the campground owner, Conni, highly enough—the dedication with which she and her team tackle this challenging task is remarkable. Always friendly, spotlessly clean, and ready to help with any questions, they... do everything they can to make campers’ stays as easy and worry-free as possible! For that, you can only give the highest rating! I’ll keep coming back to enjoy this hospitality—this was my fourth time here. Top Campground
We went to the F1 that weekend and had chosen this campground. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our spot. The power did cut out occasionally, but that was largely due to the very large RVs parked there. It didn’t bother us much, but I can understand that it was very annoying for some people. The... track was also easy to reach by bike, which was nice. All in all, it was, of course, a fantastic weekend at the F1, and we stayed at a great campground. We’ll be back next year for another weekend at the F1. Greetings from Daniek and Bas from the Netherlands.

An idyllically situated campground with a romantic swimming lake. Everything is very well organized, and the campsites are laid out beautifully. There’s also plenty of open space. The restroom facilities aren’t very large, but they’re spotlessly clean and well-equipped.

Beautiful campground—well-organized
We chose this campground on our trip through Austria to take a week off and relax. After all the city tours and long hikes, we wanted to spend a relaxing week in a quiet place. We succeeded completely. From the drive there to our stay and right up to our departure—it was absolutely fantastic. The food... at the little “Beizli” and the bakers and pizza makers who come to the campground almost every day are a real treat. For groceries, we shop at ADEG, which is about 1 km away but easily accessible by bike. The swimming lake is idyllic. It’s used for swimming, fishing, or just splashing around. As is the case almost everywhere these days, guests with dogs are in the majority. But strict rules are enforced here—bravo.
