Raul B.prosinec 2025ПоложительныеPerfect locationОтрицательныеas described⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful campsite with a fantastic location and friendly serviceWe visited the Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar over the turn of the year - and despite being almost fully booked, we were very impressed with our stay.
Overall, the campsite is very clean, well-kept and excellently organized. A particularly positive feature is the clear and well thought-out routing,... which ensures peace and quiet even when the campsite is full. The location directly on the Adriatic is a real highlight - the view of the sea from the pitch is simply fantastic and immediately gives you that vacation feeling.
The extremely friendly and helpful staff on site deserve special praise. You always feel welcome, taken seriously and well looked after - this is not a matter of course these days and deserves special recognition.
Nevertheless, we would like to mention two small points - expressly as a constructive suggestion:
Although the campsite was almost fully booked over the holidays, the supermarket on the site was closed, which we thought was a bit of a shame. In addition, a Christmas market was advertised on the main boulevard, which did take place, but was very small. There were mainly stalls with alcoholic drinks and a barbecue grill. A range of non-alcoholic drinks - especially for children, but also for adults who do not drink alcohol - was unfortunately completely absent. With little effort, more atmosphere and family-friendliness could certainly be created here.
However, these points do not change our very positive overall impression. The campsite is absolutely recommendable, excellently run and a place where we can well imagine spending a longer vacation. You should only book the places around the swimming pool if you have children ;-) It's a shame and unnecessary that you need ages of extensions for cables and water, could have been planned differently. Also the fact that you have to "lay" them through hedges and the other plots is a bit annoying. Alternatively, you can book the pitch where the distributor is. Then you often have the neighbors standing next to you, if you like it ;-) But what is definitely not nice are the public areas - toilets, showers, sinks, ..., you can simply see that the technical janitor is either overwhelmed or simply missing. I know we're talking about camping, but if you want 5* money and also want to be "the" campsite, you have to deliver. The restaurant was very good, breakfast and dinner. However, the service at dinner was very mediocre and it wasn't because there were too many guests. It was more down to self-motivation. Also on the second evening. As I travel a lot in Croatia, I have to say that the price/performance ratio is definitely not right (anymore). Other campsites are definitely much better value for money. Too bad, a few years ago it was different! By the way, the lanyards are probably necessary on a city campsite. But they should also fit. And I have no idea where I should have needed them. The beach was open, the sauna was open, the supermarket was open, I could get in and out without them.
