Need for repetition
I spent the fall vacations with my daughter (8 years old) at Sonnensee. After activities together in nature, we ended the evening with chips and currywurst in the restaurant. The large playground was particularly impressive with its huge jumping mat.

There is nothing that I miss
Adam and Eve paradise
I hardly want to reveal what remains of paradise so that it stays that way. Here the naturists still live in harmony with nature: forest meadow and water, preferably naked like Adam and Eve (at suitable temperatures). Guests are very welcome. In summer, you can meet on the Sonnensee terrace directly... on the lake for a beer etc. and a varied range of food. Children get their money's worth in the playgrounds in the immediate vicinity. Hygiene is taken care of in 8 well-equipped, modern wash houses around the lake. An extensive range of sports and many events offer fun and games from the associated sports club. There are numerous quiet spots around the lake for rest and stress relief.

Favorite place
The "Gelände" is my favorite place. I have a permanent pitch there. My pitch is so big that my small touring caravan can also be parked there.
I live there in summer, drive to work from there and my favorite thing to do after work is to go swimming or stand-up paddling in the "pond".
But I also enjoy being outside in the fall/winter.

Autumn vacation at Sonnensee
Our stay at Sonnensee in the fall was simply great. The campsite is very well maintained and invites you to feel at home right from the start. I would particularly like to highlight the clean, well-kept and ecologically well-designed wash houses.
The on-site catering was satisfactory and offered everything... you need for a pleasant stay.
The nature around the lake is beautiful and perfect for relaxing walks or short bike rides.
Sports enthusiasts will also get their money's worth here. For example, there is a new pavilion under which you can play table tennis sheltered from the rain. The staff and members on site were also consistently friendly and helpful, which underlines the relaxed atmosphere. The proximity to the small district of Misburg, where you can find everything you need for your daily needs, is also practical.
An all-round successful stay - we would love to come back.

Pure relaxation at Sonnensee
I love being at Sonnensee because I can relax there. It's good for me to enjoy the peace and quiet and nature. I like walking around the lake or on the barefoot path. At the end of my stay, I can go back to my everyday life feeling refreshed. A little idyll ☀️

Oasis of relaxation
Very well-kept naturist area in the middle of the "Altwarmbüchener Moorgebiet" with a large and clear bathing lake.
Here you can choose between several guest areas. All guest areas are located near one of the clean and well-kept sanitary blocks.
The site is the perfect place to relax and unwind, making it perfect for a vacation.

The best address in northern Germany for naturists. Everything here is just great: beautiful lake with crystal-clear water (SUP is also available). The 2 km long lake loop is great for jogging. Fruit trees everywhere and even herb spirals to pick your own herbs. Gastro with a view of the water in the evening.
We've been here several times and will be back. Simply beautiful :)

The Sonnensee, peace and relaxation

In harmony with nature
A spacious area with beautiful trees in places and lots of nature. The highlight is the Sonnensee lake with its clear, soft water; pond mussels and crayfish are indicators of the wonderful water quality. The lake is ideal for bathing, swimming and SUP paddling, and also invites you to take a walk on... a path around it. You can find peace and relaxation on the BffL grounds as well as community and entertainment, with sports or cultural activities, and at the clubhouse. It is well worth a visit.

Large bathing lake with excellent water quality and many entry points. Extensive sports facilities (e.g. SUP, table tennis, etc.) Clean sanitary facilities that are easily accessible from each of the various guest pitches. You can help yourself to the herbal spirals in front of the wash houses. Very friendly staff, good catering, sauna. I like the concept, which is based on sustainability, the environment and nature conservation. Many plants, trees and shrubs are labeled, for example. Everyone is welcome here and even naturist newcomers can dare to come here and don't need to worry about their figure or physical limitations. Everyone is accepted here (at least that's my experience and this has also been confirmed in conversations with others).

Pure naturist recreation at the gates of Hanover
We are there every year for the Naturist Run/Sunshine Lake Games and I really enjoy this week off. Going swimming first thing in the morning at sunrise and then running around the lake once are highlights that I look forward to every time. I enjoy the peace and quiet and the atmosphere at the lake in... the morning. We have made friends with both permanent campers and guests in recent years and always look forward to seeing them again. There is a lot to take part in the supporting program for the Sun Lake Games. E.g. archery, SUP, the opportunity to do the sports badge, dancing, yoga, sauna or even sightseeing in Hanover.... The offer is varied and changes from year to year. The adjacent forest in the renaturalized moor area with barefoot path invites you to go for a walk.
The connection to the S-Bahn is not so easy to reach on foot but no problem by bike (or car).

A little paradise on the outskirts of Hanover
The site is very natural and offers everything a camper's heart desires. A spacious site, clean sanitary facilities, lots of sports facilities, restaurants, peace and quiet and nice people. And the lake stands out once again with its clean and clear water...really beautiful!!!

A naturist paradise
It is a wonderful place for anyone who feels connected to naturism or would like to experience it.
You can swim or paddle across the lake and beautiful paths lead around it for strolling, hiking or jogging.
If you want, you can do sports or relax in various beautiful places on meadows and sandy areas....
There is also a sauna and a nice restaurant right on the beach.
The supply of electricity and water to the guest pitches is also very good. For motorhomes, there is a good facility near the entrance for filling up with water and disposing of service water.

This year we took part in the Sonnensee Games "Naturist Run" again. There were lots of nice people there again.
Toilets and showers were in very clean condition, thanks to the staff. The groundsman is very helpful.

Pure relaxation
For me, this is an "every year again" haven for a pleasant, relaxing vacation. If you want to get active, no problem, there is a huge wetland area right outside the gates of the Sonnensee that you can explore either on foot or by bike. Even in the fall, you can still swim across the Sonnensee lake in... pleasant water temperatures or do a few laps on a stand-up paddleboard. You can also walk around the lake at any time and if you want to satisfy your hunger after all the sporting activities, you are sure to find something to eat in the restaurant. And above all, of course, you can "do nothing" except unwind and simply relax without stress.
