The location of the campsite in front of the dyke and therefore directly on the sandy beach is quite exceptional. It's worth getting a pitch in the front row to enjoy the view of the sea and islands. The operators of the kiosk and restaurant have a very good selection and are always very friendly. The wash houses are attractive, practical and have always been very clean.NegatívumokAs the pitches have no borders, fellow campers often walk directly over the pitches of other campers. Half of the cars are parked on the paths, making maneuvering difficult.It doesn't get any closer to the beachWe have been there several times and always enjoy the beautiful view in the front row right on the water.

A large campsite along the North Sea. 5 great, heated, clean wash houses. Large cabins with plenty of hooks and storage space. The showers are free. 👍. The store has a good selection and... lots of.

The restaurant on site is great. Nice people, cheerful and courteous.
The Italian food is delicious and really cheap and we went there three times because it tasted good.
A large beach invites you to go for a walk. The beach bar was open, but it was too cool for us at 10 degrees. The sanitary facilities are clean so far, but there is more and more mold in the joints in the showers, despite the start of the season. The playground is unfortunately geared more towards smaller children.... Internet is a disaster and no longer up to date, both wifi and cell phone reception. Overall, the campsite was relatively empty over Easter compared to previous years. The prices have also become quite high. The catering on the site is good and the staff very friendly.
The biggest problem was that our fridge stopped working and blinking in the evening (and we didn't have anything else on) because the network in our corner was completely overloaded by various fan heaters in large tents and every second person charged their e-bike in the evening. If it fits at all. A mover is definitely recommended in order to be able to maneuver on the pitches afterwards.Great for families, not for dog owners.An excellent campsite that leaves nothing to be desired. Indoor swimming pool, indoor playground, beach, good restaurant, small supermarket etc. Sanitary facilities cleaned throughout and very nice. Toilets very clean, but no enclosed cubicles, so of course you can hear everything and hear what the person... sitting next to you is saying. Perhaps the operator should think about a radio sound system, which in my opinion would greatly increase privacy. It is also very tight in places to get to the pitches and maneuver if you don't have a mover or helping hands. We should perhaps appeal to the permanent campers not to use every last square centimeter of their pitches and to allow enough space for their parked cars.Automatikusan lefordítva.

In summer there may be a lack of shade, but this is probably not necessary on the North Sea. It is also difficult to move. That's why we were thrilled! - Marco W.október 2024PozitívumokThis was our 10th time at the campsite in Bensersiel and we hope that there will be many more visits. We simply love it there and it has to be once a year ;-). The sanitary facilities are always clean and the whole site is very well maintained. The staff are always friendly and we particularly like the booking facility.NegatívumokHowever, we also have two small suggestions for improvement: 1. the toilet seats could be replaced, you can see the years on them a bit. and 2. the time it takes for the water to run in the showers after pressing the button is a little short at 6 seconds (I counted ;-) ). You spend more time pressing the button than actually showering. A little more time could be set here. The same goes for the washbasins. But that's all there is to it.Very nice as alwaysA visit to Bensersiel is a must at least once a year ;-)

The view from the second floor of the restaurant over the caravans to the North Sea and the East Frisian Islands is great. From the campsite you can easily reach many beautiful villages... on the coast or in the hinterland by bike.
Bensersiel itself is best left out. Sustainability is trampled underfoot here. Unlike the other islands, the ferry from Bensersiel to Langeoog does not take any luggage. This is transported separately on a huge transport ship. We therefore saved ourselves the CO2 footprint of a trip to Langeoog. The hammer!
The ADAC gives the campsite 4.5 stars, Campinginfo 5 stars. The site is very far from that. We were there three years ago, when the 5 stars were still justified. Obviously nothing has been invested in or repaired since then.
The wifi is not available most of the time and when it is, it is absolutely unusable. At the beginning of October the place had a maximum of 20% occupancy. The only open wash house was hardly cleaned and is no longer 5 star standard. The pavement on the main driveway along the dyke is in such a state that I was worried about my oil pan despite driving at walking pace. If you come back from an excursion after 10 p.m., you either have to park your car outside Bensersiel or pay a €48 fine because you are not allowed to park at the harbor at night. The long walk from the parking lot to the parking space was out of the question for us for health reasons. There was no solution at reception because the area in front of the barrier has no parking spaces. 5 stars? Never. Some pitches have direct water and waste water connections. The wash house is clean. The pizzeria on the site and the small store are a good solution. The food in the pizzeria tastes good and the small store has good bread rolls and the little everyday things. The site is very well located ***** Is a very large site but we were there in October and everything was manageable.
Lots of play opportunities for children. The wash house was... clean. The only thing that bothered me here. It is accessible to everyone at all times. Even if there are no camping guests. Could be solved differently in my opinion.
The beach is nice and wide and nice and clean. Also had the perfect weather ordered all around for us a successful vacation.
