Our pitch was very far away from the sanitary buildings. With such a long pitch, there should be more or closer "facilities" available. Despite asking at check-in, we were not given an alternative pitch. Allegedly... the pitch was fully booked. We were unable to ascertain this during our stay. We also found the general layout of the pitch unattractive. In some places there was neither grass nor gravel, let alone paving. At our pitch we still had slightly damp earth as a surface, which led to a lot of dirt. The prices for the "baked rolls" (I know Resch & frisch) made us lose everything. Offering a normal bread roll for €1 is a rip-off, but you can do that when the site is so far out. The location itself and also the proximity of the highway was known in advance and did not bother us. All in all, we can only say that we definitely had much better pitches at much cheaper prices during our Easter vacation. A repeat visit is almost out of the question for us. The pitch was large enough, but surrounded by trees, which made satellite reception impossible. The sanitary facilities are spacious, but are getting on in years. The connection to the public transport network... to travel to Hamburg is given, but you have to take into account a walk and various stations. - Dagmar J.április 2025City camping HamburgWe have been coming to Hamburg every now and then for about 10 years. I can say that we have never been disappointed. A warm, friendly welcome and always helpful. The sanitary facilities were always well maintained.
The pitches are generously sized so that there is enough space for caravans with awnings and cars.

We were also able to drive out before 06:00. Interesting for people who are staying there on business or for early risers. However, there was one thing I didn't like. By my standards, and we are not really campers, I find the size and number of sanitary facilities too small.
There were no problems, but the site was only half... full and as we stayed in the trekking pod and therefore had no sanitary facilities ourselves, we were always dependent on them. The playground and the activities for children definitely need to be enlarged or expanded.
