We found the location very good.
The pitches are a nice size.
However, this is of no use if the pitch is not mowed and a complaint on site is ignored.

Great but expensive place
The upkeep of the whole site left a lot to be desired, you somehow got the impression that the maintenance was done without passion.
37 euros for a motorhome pitch is also a bit expensive.

Close to the city, spacious, clean, shady/sunbathing areas, family-friendly, fresh water on the pitch, great staff, close to the Ems, close to the outdoor pool

Playground without shade, access to family pool and baby changing room only with a little effort (collect key from reception for a deposit each time you use it)

All in all, it was a great stay with lots of extras such as fresh water at every pitch, a great cooking and washing-up room, the family bathroom and the extra baby changing room with children's toilet. In addition, the service leaves nothing to be desired, whether by phone, email or in person: the staff... in all areas always have an open ear and can help with questions or at least refer you to a colleague. Thanks to you! We'll be back! :)

P.s.: I don't want to give a negative rating for the location of the campsite on busy roads. Of course, you have to expect more noise than on an idyllic forest campsite, but you could expect that you would consider the location of your vacation spot beforehand. It also offers advantages such as top infrastructure options when it comes to day trips or shopping.

Beautiful campsite
It is a small, beautiful, clean site directly on the Ems. You can set off directly from here in a canoe, for example. Despite the site being full, the wash house was always clean. There are plenty of large showers, washbasins and toilets. There are also plenty of places to wash up. The pitch is also... big enough. Caravan, awning and car fit on it. The town of Meppen is within easy walking distance. You can also go shopping nearby. We liked it very much and will come again

Very nice on the water and at the same time close to the center... You can get everywhere quickly on foot. Direct electricity and water connection at every pitch... everything is very clean and everyone is very friendly. Thank you very much.

The main street is a bit noisy... and village kids aren't used to that....and when it's fully booked, it can get crowded.

Price-performance ratio is not right
The price-performance ratio is not right here. The staff was friendly. However, the place does not deserve five stars due to the lack of cleanliness in the sanitary area. We paid €50 for one night for a camper van + 2 adults for a pitch right on the river.
