Unfortunately, when we booked online, we had chosen a pitch that felt the furthest away from the only open sanitary building (there are 4). But with two overnight stays, that wasn't really a problem. Mr. Fröhlich's... restaurant was particularly impressive. Very friendly staff and the best cordon bleu we've ever eaten! The various awards the place has won are absolutely justified. Friends had rented a vacation apartment that weekend and were just as impressed. When my husband died, I sold the caravan but contacted Kirchzarten again. They told me that there was also a vacation apartment. The site is very centrally located for numerous cycle tours, e.g. Freiburg (10 km).
With the guest card you can use public transport free of charge.
In summer, the adjacent outdoor pool can be used.

Otherwise only positive experiences with the staff, restaurant, kiosk etc.. We have booked again for 2026. Also interesting for dog owners, we had our dog with us. There... is a special feel-good program for children. Bobo the bear is responsible for this. All in all, despite the bad weather, we felt we were in good hands.
