The arrival and departure area is a spacious gravel lot. As is often the case, you might run into someone at the counter who could be a little more "flexible." Of course, a simple “I don’t know” is quicker.
The sprawling... site is divided into different sections, making it easy to find your way around. The plot markings are generally easy to spot. Electricity and water are available at regular intervals; a long cable, a watering can, or a bucket are recommended. Almost all the plots have no boundaries whatsoever. From what I’ve seen, the plots are truly spacious.
The new restroom building has a practical, functional design, and the interior near the sinks in the entrance area feels almost cramped.
Access to the dog beach is through a door in the campground fence. The door cannot be opened from the outside. In theory, you can get a key at the front desk for a deposit, but the door was always open.
The dog beach isn’t really part of the campground and has a somewhat “natural” feel to it. However, the shore is covered with plenty of sand and extends far into the lake, where the water is only calf-deep. It’s ideal for children and dogs who just want to splash around.

We were once again very satisfied and feel right at home! You’re all just great! The campground is clean and offers plenty of things to do. The restrooms are clean and tidy. If campers would follow the rules, there would be more trash cans, but since all the trash ends up there instead... of being taken to the containers up front as instructed, there are very few available. I think everyone has time while camping to take their trash up front to the containers. We’ll be back, and we’ve already booked for 2027! We booked and paid in advance. Thanks to license plate recognition, the gate opened for us even though the front desk was still closed. We found our campsite quickly and set up there. We checked in later, and placed our bread roll... order as well. Since everything had been paid for in advance, we packed up the next morning and headed out. There’s a lot to do there, and you can keep yourself thoroughly occupied. We especially liked that the colored wristband gave us free admission to the beach. A real bonus. The location right on the water is simply gorgeous and instantly puts you in a vacation mood. The campground is very well-maintained, clean, and lovingly designed. We especially loved the relaxed atmosphere—perfect for... just unwinding.
The staff on site is super friendly and helpful; you feel right at home. Whether you’re traveling with a tent, trailer, or RV—there’s a spot for everyone here. The recreational opportunities around the lake are also great, from swimming to a leisurely stroll.
For us, this is definitely a place we’d love to come back to. Schwerin isn’t far away, and Wismar is also easily accessible. The restroom facilities are new and clean. On the tent field, there are restrooms for quick stops and a place to wash dishes. The campground isn’t very large. The beach has lifeguards on duty. You can walk several meters into the water before it gets any deeper. Ideal for younger children.NegatiivisetThe description online suggests that the beach—which also serves as the town’s outdoor swimming pool—closes at 6 p.m. during the early season. So you can’t go for a walk along the water. Outside the beach area, a belt of reeds surrounds the lake. The tent field is located right next to the through road and is visible from the street. At night, you can hear the highway.12 Days on the CampgroundThe campground is mostly used by travelers passing through. On weekends, groups also gather here on the tent field to have a good time.
It’s ideal as a “base camp” for excursions in the surrounding area.
The restroom facilities are modern and clean.
There’s a small grocery store at the reception desk... and a bread roll delivery service. Shopping options are available in town.
The supervised beach is free for campground guests to use. However, it also serves as the town’s natural outdoor swimming area.
