The only thing that needed changing were the toilet brushes; they were always stuck. The restaurant was very nice and everyone was very friendly, but the prices weren’t... right for a self-service place. The food, however, was absolutely delicious. There were trash cans and poop bag dispensers all over the campground, and everything was clean. The campground is a great starting point for walks—the nature all around is simply wonderful. On the day we were there, the paths to the restrooms weren’t lit at all—it’s a good thing campers bring flashlights—and the difference between the standard restrooms and the rental units... is quite noticeable. But what really smacks of a deliberate rip-off is the trick involving stocking the “Pond View” (Pond 3) campsites with fish. From August 31, 2026, through August 2, 2026, five anglers at five sites—including myself—caught nothing. A tip from another camper then led me to the holding tank for the stocked fish. The fish are kept in the holding tank using the oxygenation system. So it’s very easy to report that 20 fish were stocked. Only those who bought fishing permits don’t benefit from this—except for the realization that they’re paying good money, but the promised service isn’t being delivered. PROS: The campground is beautifully laid out and well-maintained. The restroom facilities were also very clean and well-maintained. The swimming beach and play areas for children are varied and appealing.
DRAWBACKS: The prices for some of the children’s play areas,... as well as for water sports (SUP, kayaking, pedal boats, etc.), and the prices for the restaurant and Wi-Fi are truly outrageously high. It’s obvious that prices at campgrounds are higher than at the supermarket outside, but we found the prices in the shop to be very excessive....
The prices in the “restaurant” (which is more like a self-service snack bar) are also completely out of line for what you get. The food tasted good, but there’s no question of quality. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also rather uncomfortable and incredibly chaotic, which is probably due to the self-service concept.

- JPJan P.august 2026Not for us.Opinions are mixed. The cell service is absolutely terrible. Streaming via a hotspot is practically impossible. This is a problem for parents who need to stay connected to work even while on vacation. Wi-Fi provided by the campground operator—like everything else, by the way—is way too expensive. Even... Switzerland is usually cheaper in this regard.
Facilities for children are exemplary. But they usually come with additional costs. For example, €8 to launch your own boat at Seelenplatte! Outrageous!

What we didn’t like so much was the poor internet connection (12 MB download speed)—we had to fall back on our alternative because watching TV was impossible (which, with all the streaming services available these days, is no longer acceptable). We also... didn’t like that if you arrive after 8:00 p.m., there’s no way to book internet online.
