Unprofessional employees Aggressive communication
Unpleasant encounters and false promises
Unfortunately, communication is a problem there. The woman at the reception desk is the worst. Unfriendly, unprofessional and aggressive. Never again there

Update story: We arrive, check in and ask if we can extend the next day! Statement MA: Yes, no problem, just come BEFORE 11 and extend! Okay, so... I was there the next day at 10:40. Extension not possible. Back to the van. Woman there and says we should leave and that in a rude tone. I explained it to her or wanted to. But this woman did not listen and then became more aggressive which unfortunately made my mood a bit tense. So we had to clear everything within 5 minutes and were thrown out.

The location to the sights around Königstein. One kilometer to the train stop. The train can be used free of charge within a certain radius with the guest card. Located directly on the Elbe cycle path. Friendly staff. Bread roll service. Ideal for campers with a tent.
Negativno
We were disappointed with our pitch. Although we had booked a premium pitch plus, we found it quite small. We are used to something different. The view of the Elbe was largely obstructed by our own cars parked opposite the pitches. If I book the front row, I want to have a clear view of the river. The digital check-in at the machine with poor support from an employee on site. No playground for children on the pitch. I saw a mediocre table tennis table in the immediate vicinity of the garbage containers. The sanitary facilities are modern, but are only cleaned once a day. That's not enough at the back and front. Clean is different. Absolute tourist site with frequently changing campers. Very restless as a result. The absolute hammer is the busy railroad track, even at night, in the immediate vicinity. I wouldn't have wanted to stand in the top two rows. It felt like the train was driving through the awning. I think it's a rip-off to charge €0.80 for one kWh of electricity.
Great location
I booked the campsite at the end of January and received a booking confirmation by email in good time. I was surprised that I had to pay the full price immediately after booking.
The campsite lives from its location, directly on the Elbe and the Elbe cycle path that runs past. We wanted to see the sights... around Königstein and the city of Dresden. The fortress, the Bastei, the Lilienstein and beautiful hikes in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. The campsite is ideal for this. The nearby train is both a blessing and a curse.
If you're looking for peace and quiet, you've come to the wrong place.

The railway is just beside the camping place therefore it was not easy to sleep. The huts are small and the sanitary facilities are not clean. We could not check-in when we arrived because the check-in is automated however instructions were not clear and complete so we spontaneously had to find another place to sleep in the evening. We still had to pay. Additionally the staff is very unfriendly and we felt not welcome.

Vacation was too short
Short vacation in the beautiful Saxon Switzerland
3 days vacation with our grandson in beautiful autumn weather.
The view of the Lilienstein in the morning sun is simply wonderful.
Public transport easily accessible and free with guest card.
Fresh bread rolls on site in the morning.
Checking in and out at the terminal for us (record generation) without... any problems.
We will definitely go back again.
The train was the thing for our grandson.
Short distances to the train without hearing it in the valley is probably only possible if you can't hear well.

For us, the railroad line is the ko criterion. Otherwise it was really good!
What a pity

Beautiful central location on the Elbe and the Elbe Sandstone. Good starting point for all kinds of activities.
Negativno
It's in the commentary!
Nice parking space, could be better with better customer orientation!
Unfriendly staff. The excess tourist tax paid by the three 16-year-olds (can only be booked as adults when booking online ???!!!) was reluctantly refunded on request. Likewise, an early departure of a booked member due to an emergency at home is not refunded -> customer friendliness looks different!... The main thing is that the money is in the "bag", there is no other explanation for this rip-off.
We paid for a tent and a car for two days for nothing.
In the store you get daily complaints about non-functioning washing machines etc. when buying bread rolls (€0.80), which debit money from the card and the person is then sent away because of incorrect operation.
The crowning glory is the one or two "helpers" present at the reception machine. They then help you (often under the influence of alcohol from late afternoon onwards) how to use the machine or how to get rid of even more money. All in all, not a recommendation and next time we will stay at the neighboring campsite. The train isn't any louder there either!

Your statement is simply not correct, we have issued a credit note for the tourist tax. Not reluctantly.
Unfortunately, operating errors of the washing machines is their problem, we have meaningful descriptions in all languages deposited and large on the wall and still point out to the guests to observe... the order in the operation (it's not safer soon), you can not really do anything wrong unless you simply do not want to pay the machine because we had to experience this from time to time, we do not let us do it anymore.
Bread rolls are available from 60 cents and you'll find similar prices from everyone, unless you go to the discount store, nobody is stopping you.

Saxon Switzerland
Beautifully situated campsite directly on the Elbe with a view of the Lilienstein and Königstein Fortress. You slowly become digital here too. Check-in and check-out work at the machine. We would have made a reservation, but the booking platform didn't give us a choice for our day of arrival. So we approached... in person, evoila, got a pitch. The sanitary facilities are quite OK, always clean during our stay. You get fresh bread rolls in the morning even without ordering. If you need gas, you can exchange bottles here. The surrounding area and the small village can keep you entertained. In terms of price, at almost 37 euros per night and electricity (billed according to consumption) for the average offer already in the luxury price segment. And remember, motorhome drivers greet each other.

Super friendly in a prime location
We are regular guests and for good reason. An ideal starting point for all tours. Great service, last year I needed a doctor and the campsite owner gave me the right information straight away. Ronny, the groundsman, welcomes guests with a beaming smile even after 9 pm. Fresh bread rolls, boiled eggs and always a kind word... We have of course already booked for next year

Camping in Königsee
A campsite stands and falls with its guests.
We had a great pitch on the Elbe with a view of the fortress.
Not everyone can have one, but we were lucky.
Cleanliness is not just down to the owner...
The sustainability of the transportation of passengers and goods by rail brings a bit of unrest into play. You get used to it.

We liked it and would love to come back.

Top location directly on the banks of the Elbe, good public transport, can be used with a guest card, friendly groundsman at the entrance,
Negativno
High electricity price, 70 cents/kwh, actual electricity consumption not comprehensible for the camper, 2 euros per day run through then automatic switch-off.
Nice place but...
Mini market offer very expensive. The operator of the minimarket was very grumpy and you had the feeling that you were not necessarily welcome as a guest. When you ask about the high electricity costs, you get the answer "that's just the way it is and you will have already used it up" Disposal is still... free of charge. Fresh water is also chargeable. Given that almost everything costs extra, the pitch is relatively expensive.
The wonderful location makes up for this. A little more friendliness from the operator of the market would also be very nice. The showers were sometimes blocked and overflowed (ladies) when all 4 showers were in use.
All in all, however, it is a nice place and well suited for a short stay. Good hiking opportunities all round.

Pitches very close together. Railroad line immediately
Very nice location and nice operator couple
We visited the CP in June 2023 for 5 nights. Very friendly operator couple. Very nicely located CP with many leisure activities and close to the S-Bahn.
The campsite is very nice in principle. What we didn't like so much was the long way to the sanitary building (depending on the location of the pitch).... Also, the pitches themselves could be a bit bigger, we felt it was too crowded.
The sanitary facilities were adequate and always clean.
Electricity, showers and water for the motorhome have to be paid for separately.
What you should know is that a very busy railroad line runs directly behind the campsite. It didn't bother us for the most part, but it is unmistakable.

... Railroad line (busy train traffic - but bearable) ... Relatively small (short) pitches - but there are also longer ones, clarify beforehand.
Fall meeting
The campsite is mainly suitable for hikers and cyclists and is located directly on the Elbe in Königstein directly opposite the Lilienstein, the Königstein Fortress is about 1km away and can be reached via the Elbe cycle path.... The whole area is a mecca for nature lovers....
Unfortunately, the campsite... is located directly on an international main route BUT it doesn't bother you that much after a while...
What bothered me is the poor communication with the campsite operator (you don't get an answer to an e-mail or only days later - - - often only the answering machine answers by phone). For example, I had registered a larger group and 2 of them could not participate for medical and understandable reasons... there was no understanding from the CP and so 2x50€ deposit was lost although the reserved pitches were occupied elsewhere...
The staff who were on site were very friendly and helpful.....

A beautiful location, beautiful nature and a great Elbe cycle path. The campsite itself is fully in order (cleanliness and order, technical equipment, etc.).
Negativno
- the premium pitches for motorhomes are far too small - due to the loud unbearable noise of the 24 hour train traffic train traffic you can't relax and that's the whole the point of the vacation - Unfriendliness and no acceptance of criticism from the boss, Mr. Dürr. Only he is right and not the others. This is not acceptable.
Light and shadow
We were here at the campsite near Königstein from 29.08. to 02.09.2022. As already written in the advantages, we had no problems with the place itself and the beautiful location of the campsite. Nevertheless, we had to leave a day earlier, although we ultimately had to pay for 5 days, even though we... had important reasons. There was no goodwill from the boss, despite the complaints we had. We find this completely out of order.
The description says that the premium pitches for motorhomes have a size of 80 to 100 m2. Our pitch 124 only had a usable area of 55 m2. Our awning was already on the neighbor's pitch. This pitch was far too small.
Our main reason for leaving early was the constant unbearable noise of the 24-hour loud train traffic directly approx. 30 m from our pitch.
We couldn't sleep for 4 nights, which was also the case with other vacationers. We wanted a vacation where we could relax, but the opposite was the case here.
It is already clear to us that the manager of the campsite has a completely different opinion of our comments. In the reviews that are published here, he criticizes the holidaymakers in his respective answers, who dare to say something negative.
We only live 40 km away from the campsite, but we will definitely not come back here.
We cannot recommend this campsite to anyone. Therefore only "one star" for the rating!

Hello Mr. J. but first of all I would like to answer you where on my website is a specified space size ? Nowhere, so much for that.
Furthermore, although I was in reception every day, they didn't even approach me with their problems. It was only on the day of departure that they realized how bad everything... was, but they live almost around the corner, so they should have known that there is a train in every valley.
Besides, they wanted to move to pitch 124, it was their wish... they could have just asked me or my colleague that they would like to move, we would certainly have found something else.
Of course, I am happy to comment on the relevant reviews, but thank God the positive and reasonable ones far outweigh the negative ones.
If I had responded to your request, we wouldn't be having this unnecessary discussion and sorry, that sounds like blackmail to me and I'll never agree to it, then write such nonsense if it makes you happy.
Yours sincerely. Thomas Dürr

You can come with a camper van, bus or tent, but you can also rent a barrel or a small hut.
