Relaxing days, no stress upon arrival, plenty of space, lake views almost everywhere, the lake slopes gently into the shore, plenty of room for the dog to run around, excellent restroom facilities and plenty of them

Camping Vacation
We had a spot not far from the lake.
The restrooms were always clean. The mini-market is more than enough for breakfast.

Absolutely the Best Campground
The campground at Lake Pilsen is simply breathtakingly beautiful. We’ve been coming back for years and always stay in the sleeping barrels. There’s nothing more beautiful or relaxing for us. We always love coming back 😉

During the week and outside of vacation season, it's an absolutely quiet place.

On weekends when the weather is nice for swimming, day-trippers from the surrounding area come to the beach, and it gets crowded.

The campsite is perfectly fine. However, the “kiosk” area needs to be rethought. There’s no vacation vibe there at all. Guests stand in line, and you constantly hear “Food’s ready.” Take the seating, for example—none of it invites you to linger. Just two truckloads of sand, bar tables, bar stools, and lounge chairs. Add some vacation music to that. Even in the restrooms and washrooms… just play some music in the background.

Great location; the lake is in a relatively quiet area. The sites are large enough, the campground is well-maintained, and the main restroom facilities are great!
Negativa
Check-in at the terminal is a bit of a hassle; the little shop charges exorbitant prices for poor-quality bread rolls—but there's a bakery just 4 minutes away.

Located on a beautiful lake. The large restroom facilities were top-notch across the board. The older ones on the beach were OK, but they were always clean, too!

The shaded swimming area on the lawn was fantastic—5 stars. The restroom near the beach wasn’t very clean, and we were particularly bothered by the fact that cleaning was being done loudly even at night. The main washhouse is nice but oversized for our needs.
We also found the price of 62.70 for two... people much too high, since the site itself can only be described as standard.
I’ll only recommend it if I mention the high price and the fantastic swimming spot.

Simply the BEST
The best campground I've been to so far—great facilities (rain showers, and incredibly clean and well-maintained; a restaurant, kiosk, and mini-market with local products...), great location and access to the lake, bike paths, and even public transportation (bus and train), plus an unbelievable value for the price (at least for camping)

Worth Revisiting
The campground is very well-equipped. It’s located right on the swimming lake. The restroom facilities were okay. The handwashing station in the restroom wasn’t great. Only warm water came out, and the sensors didn’t work well!!! The shower areas were great. There’s still room for improvement when it... comes to cleanliness.
Doing dishes, washing clothes, and drying them is a breeze, and everything is clean.
The Category B sites are very, very large.
Overall, we’d definitely come back!

Great campground
Very friendly welcome and nice restroom facilities, which are very clean and modern. The showers have an additional sink, and you have the space all to yourself. I sometimes felt a little guilty about hogging a shower stall just to brush my teeth—since there are no other sinks for that purpose—but apparently... that’s the intention, and it’s pure luxury. Additional hair dryer stations are available. It’s great that you can use the industrial dishwashers for free once a day. We were grateful for the large campsites and the trees, which helped keep the heat at bay.
When you’re down by the lake, the walk to the dishwashing area and the restroom can sometimes be a bit far. The mini-market is very expensive, which is why we tended to shop at the nearby supermarkets instead. To get into the lake, you have to make your way through the fence barrier, which is meant to keep the wild geese off the sunbathing lawn—and it worked quite well. Since you have to walk quite a distance into the lake before it’s deep enough to swim, water shoes are recommended because of the sharp stones—which we unfortunately forgot at home. The water quality was top-notch in June. There are plenty of things to do nearby, and the neighboring town offers good S-Bahn connections to Munich.

Repeat offender
This is already our fifth time staying at this great campground. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. The restrooms are very well-maintained, the kiosk and the little store have everything you could want, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful!

A very nice, comfortable place
A very nice campground with electricity and water hookups right at the site. Large campsites, excellent restroom facilities that are super clean. Direct access to the lake via several docks. The only thing I missed were showers near the shore.

This place is worth recommending
The campground is highly recommended because of its location right on the lake.

The restroom facilities by the water are in good condition and are cleaned several times a day. The main restroom building, in particular, is exceptionally well-designed: thanks to the layout, you have your own sink and... shower. The cleanliness is truly top-notch.

The beach bar is also great. The value for money here is absolutely right, the staff is friendly, and the service is very fast.

The only criticism is the small store on the campground. It feels more like a pharmacy, because the value for money here is unfortunately not good at all.
For example, a large draft beer at the beach bar costs €4.50—with very friendly and fast service. In the convenience store, however, a bottle of water costs €3.50 and a packaged roll costs €1.50—and the roll was even stale.

Bottom line: We’ll definitely be back! The campground itself checks all the right boxes. We won’t be using the convenience store again, though. There’s a good Edeka supermarket just about 4 minutes away by car that offers a better alternative.

Nice campsite by the lake—unfortunately, there's not much shade, and the spots are quite tight, even in Category A; in the second row, you're looking almost directly at the person in front of you.

Unfortunately, the mobile home wasn't clean
Unfortunately, our mobile home wasn't clean, and we didn't have any hot water. The water issue was resolved quickly, though. Otherwise, the campground and the restrooms were very clean. The water quality in Lake Pilsen is excellent.

It was okay
We had a wonderful stay; the lake is great. The docks are a bit worn, and unfortunately there were dogs on the docks and in the water. I don't like that. In general, people with dogs should have a separate area on the entire campground so that those who don't like dogs or are allergic to them can also feel comfortable.

Idyllic and well-developed
Spacious sites, clean and modern restrooms, a convenient card-based payment system, a beautiful lake with plenty of access points, and large, shaded areas for relaxing. The only downside was the very high price of groceries and bread rolls at the mini-market.

There are no separate bike paths around the lakes. Most of the time, we had to ride in traffic. The bike path network isn't very good.
A beautifully situated campground
Great restroom facilities. A large building dedicated solely to restrooms and dishwashing. With a dishwasher...top-notch. The freezer can be used for refrigeration. Hot plates are also available for a small fee. Everything else is included...electricity, water. We had to change spots twice since we’d... decided at the last minute. So we tried out three different spots. We liked spot 1b best. Unobstructed view of the lake. But because of the trees, there was no satellite reception. That was perfect at spot 50, and it was closer to the restrooms. The staff at the front desk were super friendly, and we even got a cycling map when we checked in. Just great.
We really enjoyed it.
