Even the small, secluded swimming spot is monitored.
The very thin woman with almost shoulder-length blond-gray hair was so extremely unfriendly upon arrival and during the inspection at the “dog... beach”… I’ve never experienced anything like that before, and I’m sure there’s a nicer way to talk to me! Bike paths… 5 km along the main road (speed limit 70) to Herrschingen, but even there I couldn’t find any bike paths. The location is beautiful, and we had a wonderful and relaxing time at the campground.
One minor criticism, however, was the restrooms and showers in the container area at the lower end of the campground. Unfortunately, some of these... were very dirty and clearly needed more attention when it came to cleaning.
We also think the electrical hookups at the campground could use some improvement. There are too few power poles, so the available hookups aren’t enough, especially when the campground is fully booked. We’d really like to see a lot more power poles here.
Other than that, it was a very, very nice stay for us, and we’d definitely visit the campground again anytime. The lake was very clean and perfect for swimming and stand-up paddleboarding.
The sites are very spacious, with their own water and electricity hookups.
It’s centrally located for bike rides.

You always have to take one of the few showers just to brush your teeth. There’s no way to do a quick hand wash. The front desk staff even told me to just take my laundry into the shower with me! Bring water shoes for getting into the lake... You'd need to bring a 50-meter cable...It's a nice place, but....It’s a nice campground, really. However, the electricity situation on the tent field is a disaster. These days, almost everyone needs electricity, and with this summer weather, a cooler is a must.
It’s also not uncommon to hear people using CPAP machines at night anymore.
Then there are the prices in... the shop—I think they’re downright outrageous. A 100% markup on sausage and cheese, and even more on croissants and rolls. I’d rather just head out in the morning.
But the staff were all friendly, and the campground was very clean👌. The campground is outstanding, with clean and modern restrooms and plenty of places to wash dishes. There are even washing machines and dishwashers available. The... location by the lake is also unbeatable. Everything is within easy walking distance on the grounds. The evening circus show was also a highlight—it was impressive for both young and old audience members alike.
