I found the deposit bottle system particularly good; instead of a garbage can, the deposit is collected and returned. The DRLG informed us that we were parked in a no-parking zone and that they would refrain from reporting us.
Otherwise we were very satisfied. The information provided by your staff at reception was very friendly and informative.... The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities and the site in general deserves special mention. A beautiful place in Eschwege with a lake for swimming on the sandy beach with toilet and supervision as well as cycle paths around the lake or

- Thomas K.maj 2026Weekend stayUnfortunately, the greeting from the lady at check in was very unfriendly and immediately without greeting 5 times pointed out that I can not just drive in front of the barrier. I had already understood this the first time! That would be impossible for me. I then tried to explain to her that the parking... lane in front of the campsite was and is occupied by cars and motorhomes. Parking was therefore not possible for me with a car and caravan, as I would otherwise have blocked the road. She didn't let me speak at all, which was very unpleasant. The groundsman and the staff responsible for I'll say green maintenance etc. are super friendly, helpful and great, they made up for everything. It's a shame for this beautiful, well-kept campsite if you are received like this. From the site you can walk the Werraseerunde about 7km, here too everything is well maintained, many nice resting places with a view of the lake.

The stay was very nice, bread roll service worked well despite the end of the season. The sanitary blocks were open and well heated despite the small number of campsites. The staff were very friendly and informative. The staff in the bistro were also very nice, as I... said, despite few camping guests, there was lunch every day. I would have one small criticism regarding the bistro from my personal point of view, as we arrived and got something to drink in the bistro, it smelled very strongly of kitchen smells (fried food, frying fat...) in the bistro room. We decided to sit outside so that our clothes wouldn't smell. ( I am just a little sensitive :-) .
