Our arrival time was 6.00 pm, after a phone call from the road with the nice employee at the reception the arrival was clarified. There wasn't much more information on arrival, I would have liked a few words. The choice of pitch... was free, but the individual pitches are not marked and so sometimes a bit confusing and difficult to find. The site is located in front of the dyke and can also be flooded in winter. Therefore, the site is more of a large meadow with a gravel path and sanitary facilities in containers, so everything is quite simple and unspectacular.
For us, it was the location right by the sea/watt that made it special. View of the water and the lighthouse and a spectacular sunset in the evening. You can walk and cycle very well from the site. Dogs are allowed almost everywhere, dyke, harbor etc. Nan can take the dog for a great walk on the corner.
Bread roll service on site, order in advance, but there are also bakeries within walking distance in the village as well as restaurants, mini golf, bike rental etc.
The sanitary facilities are on stilts and you have to climb a few steps, but they are very small and simple but were always clean. There are a few stalls selling food, drinks and ice cream at the small harbor. I thought the price was a bit high for low season.

The groundsman was very friendly, courteous and helpful.Samodejno prevedeno. - Lydia W.avgust 2024RecommendedThe campsite is located directly in front of the dyke on the Wadden Sea. It's a short walk to the Wadden Sea and you can see the changing tides and beautiful sunsets.
The mobile home we stayed in had 2 bedrooms, a kitchen with sitting area and a bathroom with shower. Everything was well equipped and... clean. Unfortunately there was no oven (but you have to make compromises somewhere when space is limited), but there was a microwave and a huge fridge with a large freezer compartment. There is a table and chairs in front of the house so that you can also sit outside to eat, and if the neighbors haven't taken them away, there is even a lounger. Access to the campsite was easy at the beginning then the barrier was down and permanently open.
There is also a small children's playground on the site, and the pirate playground in the immediate vicinity.
The quiet times and times for entering and leaving the site are relatively well implemented.
CONCLUSION: the campsite is well located and well maintained, the mobile homes are surprisingly spacious and well equipped. There are several food stalls, restaurants and a swimming pool in the immediate vicinity. There are plenty of excursion destinations, leisure activities and towns to visit within a 30 to 60-minute drive. There is a varied infrastructure in the surrounding area (food, drink, ice cream, restaurant, outdoor pool). The pitch numbering could be better, our pitch was initially occupied by another user, but he left in the evening.
