Obersalzberg with Eagle's Nest, Berchtesgaden Salt Mine, Cafegasthof "Graflhöhe" called the Windbeutelbaron, Bad Reichenhall Salt Works, Watzmann-Therme, Predigtstuhlbahn with hike to... the Amhütte "Schlegelmulde", the Seissenberg Gorge and quaint inns were some of the highlights of our stay and very easy to reach within a short distance from the CP!

- LELysann E.april 2025PozitivnoQuiet, heated and modern sanitary facilitiesNegativnoUnparceled, sloping tent meadow, no restaurant or shopping facilitiesCamping with a mountain panoramaAs a camper, you are less well catered for here than with a motorhome / caravan, as there is only one meadow for tents, which a) is sloping and b) offers hardly any individual space. There are hardly any trees or bushes and it is difficult to put up a washing line. You are practically sitting on a platter.... The mountain panorama is unbelievably beautiful; a short walk around the nearby lake is worthwhile. There is a lounge and a drying room. The sanitary facilities are heated, as good as new and well maintained, but could reach their capacity limits. For food, you have to go to restaurants or do your shopping in the nearby towns - there is nothing else. The peace and quiet is only rarely interrupted by motorcyclists on the road. During the... whole stay it was very quiet day and night although there were also children on the site.
Ramsau and Berchtesgaden are only a stone's throw away.
I would like to emphasize the Gasthaus Wachterl which conjures up very good, delicious food.
We ate there twice and it was simply delicious.
The restaurants in Ramsau are also very good, they always changed daily.
Overall a nice quiet place to relax with and without children. The site is family-friendly with a small playground, very quiet and not overcrowded even when fully booked. The operators are friendly and helpful. There are two sanitary buildings, one older and one new. The cleanliness... should be emphasized, it is really above average. They clean once a day, but they also clean in between every now and then, refill paper towels etc. This is something you rarely see. You rarely see anything like that. The site itself also looks very clean and tidy. A big compliment for that.
There is also a bread roll service every day and a small kiosk with a small selection of food. There is also a large lounge with a TV, table football and a table tennis table.
Some of the pitches could perhaps be a little bigger, but that's complaining on a high level. Each pitch has an electricity connection, a fresh water connection and a waste water connection.
