Obersalzberg with Eagle's Nest, Berchtesgaden Salt Mine, Cafegasthof "Graflhöhe" called the Windbeutelbaron, Bad Reichenhall Salt Works, Watzmann-Therme, Predigtstuhlbahn with hike to... the Amhütte "Schlegelmulde", the Seissenberg Gorge and quaint inns were some of the highlights of our stay and very easy to reach within a short distance from the CP!

There are hardly any trees or bushes and it is difficult to put up a washing line. You are practically sitting on a platter.... The mountain panorama is unbelievably beautiful; a short walk around the nearby lake is worthwhile. There is a lounge and a drying room. The sanitary facilities are heated, as good as new and well maintained, but could reach their capacity limits. For food, you have to go to restaurants or do your shopping in the nearby towns - there is nothing else. The peace and quiet is only rarely interrupted by motorcyclists on the road. During the... whole stay it was very quiet day and night although there were also children on the site.
Ramsau and Berchtesgaden are only a stone's throw away.
I would like to emphasize the Gasthaus Wachterl which conjures up very good, delicious food.
We ate there twice and it was simply delicious.
The restaurants in Ramsau are also very good, they always changed daily.

The site is family-friendly with a small playground, very quiet and not overcrowded even when fully booked. The operators are friendly and helpful. There are two sanitary buildings, one older and one new. The cleanliness... should be emphasized, it is really above average. They clean once a day, but they also clean in between every now and then, refill paper towels etc. This is something you rarely see. You rarely see anything like that. The site itself also looks very clean and tidy. A big compliment for that.
There is also a bread roll service every day and a small kiosk with a small selection of food. There is also a large lounge with a TV, table football and a table tennis table.
Some of the pitches could perhaps be a little bigger, but that's complaining on a high level. Each pitch has an electricity connection, a fresh water connection and a waste water connection.

The operators are very friendly and courteous. You can get fresh bread rolls and snacks from the kiosk seven days a week. The excursion destinations to Hintersee and Märchenwald are... a great experience for experienced hikers. Otherwise you can take the bus (bus stop directly at the campsite) to Ramsau or Berchtesgaden (free with the guest card). The hike to the Eagle's Nest is a big challenge, but we had our 84-year-old father and an 11-year-old dog with us, who made it to the top and back down again on foot. The view in good weather outweighs the effort of the hike. All in all, it was a wonderful, relaxing vacation on a beautiful campsite with the Graßl family.

The beautiful, idyllic Simonhof campsite is in a fantastic location. A place that is second to none.
We arrived with a tent, so pitched on the tent meadow, which was super clean, tidy and well-kept like the rest of the... site.
The sanitary facilities are well maintained and clean.
You can tell that the Graßl family put their heart and soul into running the site. You are greeted very warmly on arrival and there is always a little small talk when you visit the kiosk.
There is a nice playground for children, a table football table that can be used free of charge and an outdoor table tennis table. Children can let off steam on the pitch without any worries.
There is also a nice large lounge for all visitors to use.
The view when you get up in the morning and have the Watzmann in front of you is simply indescribable.
We liked it so much that we have decided to book again for August and are already looking forward to it.
