Arrival only from 3 pm, horrendous extra charge in the morning. How do you spend lunchtime? Lunch?

Bodite prvi!- Viktoria L.oktober 2025Worth a trip!It was a really nice vacation. The cottage was clean and after commenting that a chair was broken, it was promptly replaced. The janitor was super friendly. The children were able to play very nicely, so the parents were also relaxed. Unfortunately, I didn't find the lady at reception particularly friendly... either on arrival or departure. We arrived with 2 cars and were only reluctantly allowed to unload the 2nd car. There would have been enough space to park for the whole stay and it was too much to ask to let the car in for just a short time. Unfortunately it felt patronizing. Mainly permanent campers on the left, temporary residents on the right. Well-kept site, with elongated lake on the right, modern reception with bakery/coffee counter, self-service fridges and typical range. The wash houses are older,... but have been modernized inside. The pitches are large, marked with signs and not further demarcated. Very good space overall. Most pitches do not have a separate water connection, but there is a water point every 75 m on the central road. The waste disposal point is outside the site; the waste compactor is secured with a smart card per tenant; paper garbage cans and glass containers are located separately.
We really enjoyed our time there, despite the mixed weather. The only thing we couldn't ignore was the party going on until midnight in the bar at the end of the site. But we were far enough away. The baked goods were good quality; the price was ok. Friendly staff at reception. The site was constantly being worked on by our own gardeners. The Knaus campsite in Bad Dürkheim impresses with its cleanliness and tidiness. Both the pitch, which cannot offer a uniformly well-kept lawn due to capacity utilization, and the sanitary facilities are in good condition - the latter is really exemplary! The location... in the vineyards is quiet and suitable for bicycles.
The only small downside: the staff seemed a bit reserved and not always very motivated. We were accommodated in a mobile home. It was clean and fully equipped. As we walked around the park, we were struck by nostalgia and realized that the camping of today has nothing to do with the camping of 20 years ago. The comfort is... of course splendid, but a camping park like this no longer exudes flair. Today there are restaurants on the campsite instead of bistros. Somehow a pity. Everything has its time.
