We were accommodated in a mobile home. It was clean and fully equipped. As we walked around the park, we were struck by nostalgia and realized that the camping of today has nothing to do with the camping of 20 years ago. The comfort is... of course splendid, but a camping park like this no longer exudes flair. Today there are restaurants on the campsite instead of bistros. Somehow a pity. Everything has its time. It was a tough night. Unfortunately it had only rained during our stay and we spent most of the time in the barrel. There is a small store, wine shop, bread service and much more to buy there. The staff at reception are very nice and helpful!
We stayed in a wine barrel with its own sanitary barrel and rented the bed linen package. Everything was very clean and tidy! However, it would have... been nice if the beds had already been made, as you have to climb over the bed and this is not so easy! It should be mentioned that it is oversized bedding in case someone brings their own bedding! Just a small note! Furthermore, it would be good if perhaps only 2 small boards (for storing glasses, watch, jewelry, etc.) were placed in the sleeping barrel. There is enough storage space under the very high bed. A kettle, 2 glasses, 2 wine glasses, 2 plates and cutlery are provided. The "Weinfass-Dörfle" is really beautifully laid out. The Almensee lake right next to the campsite is also wonderful! It's just a shame that the bistro, the great Aloha Beach bar and the Seeblick restaurant were closed when we visited. The airfield is right next to the campsite. It's easy to cycle into town and the surrounding area. We had the WUMA, so some of the roads were closed. Soap wasn't always there either. The door to the shower in the corridor was always locked open, so you had to get completely dressed... and undressed in the narrow shower cubicle.
I actually always liked coming here, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right at all. The barrel is very cozy and in combination with the small breakfast (including coffee) in the morning and the bottle of wine as a welcome, it was a really nice experience. The complex itself is also very nice and there are lots of things to do to pass the time.
