There are only a few long-term campers, and many spots are empty. Many long-term campers are leaving after years. The question is: why? I was told that the female owner is impossible to deal with. Everything is overpriced. They’re unfriendly and threaten to terminate leases. Many things are run-down or broken. It’s about time the campground went back to private ownership—the name “Knsus” is being misused here. Especially that unfriendly groundskeeper, König. It was so nice here just three years ago; now it’s like in politics—everything’s going down the drain. In politics, it’s Merz; at the campground, it’s Knaus and König. That’s why I’m giving it a -5; there’s nothing positive here anymore.Horrified on the fieldKnaus should be ashamed of himself for offering something like this. Everything’s overpriced and a lot of it is broken.
All the old friends are gone—they’ve all fled to Möhnesee.
That dirndl-wearing lady should really give this some thought.
Especially since this place belongs to the municipality of Meschede.

I’ll definitely be coming back with my daughter. The prices in the shop, restaurant, and for additional services (sauna, breakfast) are very reasonable. I’m deducting one star because the bouncy castle was being inflated right next to my tent all night long. The music at 10 p.m. was annoying, and the food and beverage options were limited (which, to be fair, was due to a fire) and overpriced; plus, the so-called nature trail consisted only of a tunnel full of spider webs and incomplete climbing poles, so it wasn’t usable (we’d been looking... forward to it and were a bit disappointed), so we’re deducting one star. Otherwise, we (a family with three kids and a dog) were very satisfied. The restrooms and showers were cleaned several times a day. Unfortunately, other guests didn’t leave the sinks as clean as I would have liked, but that’s not the campground operator’s fault.
There are plenty of play... areas for the kids and even an indoor pool on site (for an additional fee).
Dogs are also well taken care of.

Unfortunately, the boss is rather unfriendly and has a very unique way about him. In the restaurant industry, I think the prices are too high for what you get. A schnitzel for €19 is totally fine, but it doesn’t really seem high-quality, and the... French fry stand they’ve set up there kind of ruins the atmosphere. My kayak filled up with water while I was out in the middle of the lake. I did get my money back, but there wasn’t any real instruction or anything like that. I’ve always enjoyed going there, but I don’t think I’ll be going back. Unfortunately, it’s heading in the wrong direction. The small sandy beach and the sunbathing area overlooking the lake, shaded by trees, offered a relaxing spot. We didn't like the food on the trolley. Currywurst was probably too long and the burger was completely dry. But the cake was delicious

It is only a 10-15 minute walk to the bay. Especially that there is a lot on offer for children. Next to the swimming pool there is a bouncy castle and a children's playhouse.
Only the shower heads in the showers could be partially replaced and a better... ventilation system or more open windows in warm weather would be desirable. Electricity and water are included in the price, very good!
