The teepee wasn’t really cleaned well. The bedroom was covered in endless cobwebs on the ceiling and walls. The layer of dust in the bathroom and on the lamp in the hallway was also quite noticeable. The toilet... hadn’t been cleaned at all, and the shower had dark grout lines. Showering was a bit of a gamble—either freezing cold or scalding hot.
When we asked if we could leave a night early, the front desk referred us to an email address. Unfortunately, we haven’t received a response to this day. The phone call was friendly but fruitless, as the woman on the line referred us back to the front desk, where the staff—who seemed rather exasperated—didn’t know what to do. The result was that we were stuck inside the house in the rain for two days and then drove 850 km nonstop with two children, instead of making the return trip more pleasant for everyone. We had overlooked this campground in our initial search because we were looking for a place with a minimum rating of 4 stars. In the end, we stumbled upon this campground by chance and ended... up moving there. Everything was just as we’d imagined, but the campground is apparently very expensive in the summer—well, we were there during the off-season, so the prices were adjusted accordingly. So the prices were reasonable. A quick visit to the sauna in the evening wasn’t an option for us since it was too expensive (I think 14 euros per person). I thought the washhouse was okay, but for a 5-star campground, it was the worst washhouse I’ve ever been to. The reason for this is the showers and the sinks. The showers have a 3-minute timer that counts down, which I can pause by pressing a button. During that time, cold water runs. When I press the button again, the timer starts counting down once more. However, the water then runs cold for quite a while. Once the three minutes are up, you have to wait two minutes before you can use the three minutes of hot water again. Who comes up with this nonsense???
That’s cutting corners in the wrong place. The temperature at the sinks couldn’t be adjusted either. I would like to raise the following relevant issues:
There was a marten living in our accommodation. When we were shown the apartment, your employee said they were aware of this. It’s just unfortunate that our nights were frequently interrupted because the animal was very active at night.... So either don’t rent out the unit, report the defects in advance, or reduce the price until the problem is fixed.
The second issue concerns the toilet flush. It was constantly running. This defect was reported on the very first day. It’s understandable that someone wouldn’t come right away. But it’s outrageous to pass on the full cost of the water bill to the tenant.

What I didn't like so much was the bathroom.
The mold and dampness weren't very pleasant. I also missed having a shelf in the shower or a scald guard on the shower faucet.
The mirror lighting didn’t work reliably, and I would have liked to have had a heater. It was pretty cold in the mornings.
We really liked the natural setting!
The proximity to the beach was also nice.

Prices are twice as high as at the 5-star Campingpark Kühlungsborn. The management team at Regenbogencamp should take a look at this. Anyone who thinks that all dog owners follow basic hygiene rules is delusional. People are cleaning up on the campground and within 10 meters of the forest. It’s incomprehensible. The cleanliness of the restroom facilities... leaves a lot to be desired. At comparable campgrounds of this size, cleaning is done on an ongoing basis. The paving stones have been pushed upward so unevenly by soil and root movement that there is a high risk of injury.

Fii primul! - UDUwe D.Iunie 2026No more early bird deals...It all started even before our vacation, after it became known that site 019 had been overbooked a week earlier, even though we had already booked sites 017, 018, and 019 with family bathrooms back in January. It’s one thing that things like this can happen, but failing to correct them afterward is completely... unacceptable. This renders all early-bird bookings worthless. Even after several phone calls, no solution could be found, and the person who booked later ended up winning out.
I’ll just mention in passing that the TV connection didn’t work and we had to get new satellite systems. Also, the loose toilet seat in family bathroom 1 wasn’t repaired until we checked out, even after we complained.
We’ve been coming to Göhren since 2011 and, at times, stayed twice a year—we were always loyal customers and satisfied. Now that we’re retired, we’d have even more time… what a shame!
