The swimming pool—and especially the two upper pools—were simply amazing and a real highlight. We were also very satisfied with the restroom facilities—everything was clean... and well-maintained.
On the day we arrived, we enjoyed the buffet at the upper restaurant for €35 per person. The selection was extensive, and the food was truly delicious and freshly prepared. On the second evening, we also dined at the tavern, which was also good—but our personal highlight was definitely the upper restaurant.
We also really appreciated that we received bus tickets during our stay. This made it very easy for us to explore the surrounding area.

Professionalism, organization, and fantastic attention to detail.
Just to give a few examples: the campsites are great (gravel, large, flat... and open), and the restrooms (super clean!) are beautiful.
The facilities, appropriately (on the outside)... made of natural, harmonious materials (stone, wood, etc.), but inside, exquisitely elegant.
The spa (pools)... I’ve never seen anything so beautiful (architectural design), original (sandy bottom), or varied (pools, fireplace!)… All natural, yet refined and elegant!
The fact that the campground is surrounded by a breathtaking Alpine panorama (truly immersed in nature)... that goes without saying...
I’ll conclude with the only FLAW... which does you NO credit:
the electricity bill!
Given that at NO campground have I EVER been asked to pay for electricity (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, etc... 3, 4, 5 stars)...
Not even the “reason” (... EXCUSES!) of the “mountain/winter” campground (Sauris, 3 stars! They don’t charge anything!) holds up...
When I asked for an explanation, it was unacceptable that a (very kind) young lady told me that “these are municipal ordinances” (clearly false!)...
Since you’re a 5-star campground, you’re obviously “pricey” (justified expense… see above)... so in addition to the pitch fee (OK), in addition to the fees for all guests (...), in addition to the dog fees (EXORBITANT!)......in the end, the total cost is high... IT’S RIDICULOUS to also charge for electricity (which would amount to... “NOTHING”!)... especially considering that... you’re charging a whopping 1 €/kWh!!! SHAMEFUL!
Considering that 1 kWh costs 20 €cent and, now that the “world” is at war (...), it costs 30 €cent... Not even during a world war would it cost 1 €/kWh!!!
It almost seems like you’re trying to take advantage of the customer… only to end up making 10–20 € (…a pittance…)… after they’ve (already) paid you HUNDREDS of €!!!
A “deterrence strategy” isn’t even credible… It’s not as if a camper “enjoys” “wasting” electricity… just because they don’t pay for it… They use exactly what they need!!!
It’s truly a LACK OF CLASS! And it DOES NOT DO YOU PROUD!!!
(I’ve been teaching—for 38 years!—major companies about Total Quality, Kaizen (Continuous Improvement), Ergonomics, and Customer Care/Satisfaction. .. Tester, Google Reviewer... etc.) YOU’RE NOT MAKING A GOOD IMPRESSION!!!
That said, I’ll conclude by saying that (despite this one ridiculous/shameful FLAW)... WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK... Because in every other respect, you’re FANTASTIC (see above)!!!
(Obviously, the 4 stars are ONLY for the... paid electricity...)

Our campsite had a magnificent view—the mountain panorama is simply breathtaking, and the forest begins right behind the campground, offering great hiking opportunities. 🏔️🌲
The restrooms are very well-maintained and always clean. We were particularly... impressed by the exceptionally spacious shower rooms—really great for a campground! The staff was also consistently very friendly and welcoming, so we felt completely at home. The small but well-stocked supermarket offers everything you need for daily essentials.
We also really appreciated the peace and quiet at the campground. Even though it was well-attended, it was pleasantly quiet and relaxed.
We do have one minor criticism regarding the food at the tavern. Since prices at the restaurants are a bit higher, we usually cooked for ourselves. On our last evening, however, we wanted to treat ourselves and ordered chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed when we opened the box: The portion was really very small for the price—there was hardly any mashed potatoes or vegetables. The vegetables were also, unfortunately, unseasoned. The chicken, on the other hand, was a decent size, very juicy, and delicious. The tiramisu for dessert was also really good. Still, we unfortunately didn’t feel the meal offered good value for the price.

The surroundings are stunningly beautiful, the restroom facilities are great and were always clean during our stay. The store offers a wide variety of items, and the staff is friendly. The pool is exceptional. The Patzenfeld restaurant serves excellent... cuisine.
We weren’t entirely satisfied with our campsite, though we couldn’t choose it ourselves—only the category. Since the man who escorted us to the site simply pointed to the vacant space, we initially assumed that the entire site was at our disposal. It wasn’t until a while later that we realized there were actually two spots (a regular spot and an “emergency spot”). And the problem was that the order of 107 and 107a on the map was exactly the opposite of the order on the utility unit’s markings. In the end, we had to set up and take down our camp three times. And the next day, a motorhome was parked so close to us that we could practically no longer open the window. We definitely did not like THAT. Perhaps in the future they should make this clearer and, if necessary, add a “small” spot to 107a only when the campground is fully occupied—but not the way we experienced it. Fortunately, it was only for two days.
