A small but very charming and luxurious little chalet. Direct view of the Baltic Sea. The beach is within easy walking distance. There’s also a very varied children’s program. The chalet is well-maintained and clean. A beach chair is right on the porch.

A Fantastic Vacation Spot
It was our first time at the Walkyrien Campground, and we were already thrilled by the drive there. When we caught sight of the Baltic Sea, we were blown away by the beautiful view. The closer we got to the campground, the more excited we became—being so close to the Baltic Sea is simply wonderful.

Check-in was quick and hassle-free. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, so we felt right at home from the start.

We had booked a Captain’s Chalet and were thrilled from the very first moment. We were able to drive right up to the chalet to load and unload our belongings, and then parked the car in the parking lot—which was no problem for us. Even from the outside, the chalet looked very well-maintained. By the time we stepped onto the porch and saw the direct view of the Baltic Sea, we were speechless.

The chalet is high-quality, cozy, and furnished with great attention to detail. It had everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen was also superbly equipped—we didn’t lack a thing.

For us, the best part was spending the mornings and evenings on the porch. Having breakfast there, eating together, or sitting in a beach chair and gazing out at the Baltic Sea was pure relaxation. We also really enjoyed the wonderful peace and quiet. Even when the weather was bad, we could make ourselves comfortable inside the chalet.

It’s about a five-minute walk to the beach. From there, you have a great view toward Grömitz. We especially loved the illuminated Ferris wheel in the evening—it’s wonderful to watch the changing colors.

There’s plenty to do for kids, too. Since we spent so much time at the beach, we weren’t able to try everything. However, the pony rides were a real highlight for our kids.

We would have loved to never leave. Being able to see the Baltic Sea when we woke up and fell asleep, the peace and quiet, and that special vacation feeling—for us, it was a dream vacation. We’d love to come back!

The campground is very well-maintained.
We had a site with a view of the sea. Free access to the lake is also included.
The restrooms are very clean. A special feature is the four additional bathrooms in Building 3, each with its own shower and toilet.
The owners are especially friendly and laid-back....
I highly recommend this campground.
As for amenities:
There’s a good restaurant right at the campground.
In the neighboring village,
the dining options are somewhat limited, with a rather unfriendly pizza maker and a restaurant featuring a comic-book menu.
But you can easily make up for that in Grömitz and Eutin.

This was our very first time camping, and we're so glad we found this campground.
It was always clean, and all the facilities were very well maintained. Very dog-friendly. Lots of activities for kids—it's just a great place.

Thank you so much for the wonderful days at your campground. Over the past 4 weeks, we’ve stayed at 4 campgrounds, and this one was by far the nicest, cleanest, and most affordable. The restrooms are clean and modern. The staff in the restaurant and the shop are super friendly and dedicated, and the... breakfast box to go is incredibly delicious and attractively presented. There are also more than enough play options for kids at this campground. The popcorn machine is a tasty bonus, too. We’ll definitely be back.

It would have been nice to have a note saying that the power outlet could be up to 15 meters away. Thank goodness our cable was just long enough. Electricity is relatively expensive. There aren't that many restrooms at the RV park, but there are plenty in the other buildings.
A beautiful spot with an extraordinary view
The location is very beautiful. You can easily bike to Grömitz. A steep metal staircase leads down to the natural beach.

The restaurant comes highly recommended. Great food and excellent service. The staff is very friendly overall.

All in all, it was a wonderful stay.

Summer Vacation: The Valkyries
This was our second time here; the layout of the houses, their location, the grounds, and the beach are all great.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the houses leaves something to be desired—we’d also complained about this during our previous stay.
They’d only vacuumed; I mopped right after we arrived,... and the mop water was brown. That shouldn’t be the case for a house that’s just been cleaned.
The toilet smells like urine, and it wasn’t properly cleaned either.

The mattresses are new, though, so there’s nothing to complain about when it comes to the beds.

A nice place with a few drawbacks
Overall, we had a nice time here. The staff is very friendly, and restroom building 3 is cleaned as often as possible; however, since it’s the most heavily used restroom building, it gets quite crowded, and some campers don’t really care much about keeping it clean...
There’s a small store on the campground... where you can also buy bread rolls, though they’re quite pricey.
We had site U11, which was supposedly lake-view. However, we couldn’t see much of the lake because there were large RVs parked in front of it, so in our opinion, the site category doesn’t quite match the description.
We didn’t have Wi-Fi at our site, and neither the front desk nor a call to technical support could resolve the issue. That wasn’t great, especially for our teenager, of course...
The road to the campground is very narrow—so please be considerate. We didn’t visit the restaurant or the wellness area.

We just love everything about this campground. It’s beautifully situated, has its own beach access, the restrooms are neat and clean, the Land & Meer restaurant serves excellent food, and you can quickly reach Grömitz and the surrounding area by bike or on foot. The staff at the campground and in the restaurant are very friendly, and as of this year, there are good shopping options right nearby.

A very nice 3 weeks
This is our third time staying at the campground, and we feel very at home there. The atmosphere is relaxed, and every staff member always has time for a chat. Minor issues were taken care of right away.

The food at the Land & Meer restaurant is really good. The entire team is super friendly, and even... when the tables are full, they always take the time for a quick chat.

There are plenty of restroom facilities, and they’re neat and clean.

For us, the campground is ideally located for taking trips to nearby and more distant areas.

Unfortunately, we can’t understand the positive reviews regarding the restrooms and cleanliness.
The restrooms were not cleaned well at all; the same dirt remained in the corners for several days. Even right after cleaning, the toilets and sinks weren’t properly clean.
The shower drains were clogged,... and the water was sometimes hot and sometimes, unfortunately, cold.
However, we also noticed that there are a lot of slobs among the campers. Unfortunately, some people aren’t capable of using a toilet brush or removing hair from the sink after shaving.
Children’s activities were also often canceled due to illness, and unfortunately, no replacements were ever provided.

The campground itself is fine. Unfortunately, there’s no enforcement of quiet hours. The restrooms aren’t cleaned well enough. Unfortunately, this is mostly due to the people, but something needs to be done about it. People also don’t stick to the walking speed limits, and there’s no enforcement. Access... to the beach, however, is the worst part! A campground in such a great location, yet the beach access is inaccessible to people with physical disabilities. It’s not really accessible for families with children either. So, unfortunately, we won’t be coming back. Unless these issues are addressed, we won’t be coming back. The activities for children are worth mentioning—they’re really good :)

Beautiful sites, with electricity, water, and sewer connections right on the plot. The washrooms, showers, and even the kids’ pool are very modern and highly recommended. The kids’ activities—with the bouncy castle, trampoline, water slide, and foam party—are a real highlight for the kids. The food at the campground is second to none. I’ve never found such a great restaurant at any other campground.

I thought the Admiral's reservation fee of 100.00 euros for 2027 was quite a lot. After all, it hardly takes any effort to reserve an available spot for 2027.

Just like last year, our stay with you was very relaxing and pleasant. Everything on the campground is well-organized, clean, and senior-friendly. The campground has everything you could possibly need.
We thought the 100.00 euro booking fee for next year was a bit steep. A fee is fine, but half that... amount would have been enough—especially since the Admiral was available during that time.
But let’s put that behind us—see you next time.

We really liked the house and the campground

The house wasn't really clean; there were small shards of glass on the floor, some of the dishes were still dirty, and not much water came out of the showerhead and faucets. There weren't fly screens on every window.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kapitänshaus as a family. The space was more than enough for a family of five. The view of the sea was beautiful. There were activities available both on-site and nearby. We’d love to come back.

- Great location, private beach - Wonderful campground with a practical layout and a wide variety of sites to suit every visitor’s needs - There’s something for everyone—whether you’re traveling by caravan, RV, or even tent - Option to rent a small cottage or chalet - 3 large wash houses that are generally always clean—unfortunately, not all campers take hygiene inside the wash houses very seriously (for example: the request—or rather, the requirement—to use separate shower shoes instead of outdoor shoes in the shower area) - Everything you need is right on site: a small supermarket with fresh bread rolls, a restaurant, etc. - The staff are always friendly and in a good mood

This was our third time there. A lot has changed since then—there are now a lot of cabins available for rent, but that doesn't make the campground any less appealing!
Our overall impression has improved a little bit with each visit since our first stay!

A lovely place for people and their four-legged friends
We spent a lovely and relaxing vacation as a couple (without our adult children) with our dog.
At this campground (and the one next door), there are dog runs with agility courses, and plenty of opportunities for walks along the coast. The terrain usually drops off steeply toward the water, but there... are frequently paths or stairs leading down to the water.
We found that the surrounding area is almost better explored on foot (e.g., to Grömitz) than by bike. With our Bios bikes and dog trailer, the paths were often bumpy and, in some places, quite steep—there are places with better overall cycling infrastructure, so we tended to drive to destinations a bit further away in the area.
Unfortunately, our planned kitesurfing at Bliesdorf Beach and along the rest of the coast wasn’t possible due to the local surf schools; among other reasons, lessons were held on Fehmarn—an hour away—because of the wind direction. It worked out, but I’d imagined it a bit differently and not so time-consuming....
