More caravan park than campsite
Our arrival was a little bizarre, the couple running the place had probably not expected any new arrivals. But that didn't detract from their friendliness. The transit camper area is very small, most of the space is taken up by corrugated iron "caravans" as permanent pitches - admittedly better maintained... and more attractive than on many other English campsites. We were only on the site for one night on our way north, but it was ok. The sanitary facilities were surprisingly well-kept and tidy, there was nothing to complain about. The location is a bit remote, you had to drive a few kilometers to Ripon to go shopping.
