"Pure nature - The access road is adventurous for large motorhomes or caravans, narrow forest road with no passing places, the access road is not easy to find. GPS data would be useful. The operator attaches great importance to compliance with the site rules. They are read out and explained in detail. I didn't feel welcome, but we were a larger group and still had a good time on this beautifully situated site.

"Stressful was yesterday - The Massingsmühle offers the perfect place to stay for a few cozy days in the midst of nature. On arrival, you can look forward to a warm welcome. The subsequent briefing takes place in a family atmosphere, which extends over the entire camping site. If the capacity of the pitches already booked allows, you can even choose your own pitch from those still available. After a few tips from the friendly operator about things to do in the area, the first peg can be hammered into the ground and the adventure can begin...

"Outdoor camping im wahrsten Sinne - Zuerst: Nichts fuer Camper mit Dickschiffen und Luxusansprüchen. Es beginnt mit einer abenteuerlichen Fahrt von der Hunsrückhöhenstraße 1100m über Schotterweg in den Wald . dann eine scharfe Kurve und schon ist man in Kanada :-) Sehr ruhige Lage,der Bach mitten durch den Platz stört nicht,nur die Vögel randalieren im Morgengrauen. Nette hilfsbereite Eigentümer,schlichtes Sanitär aber ausreichend . Einkaufen in der Nähe,alles zu bekommen.......... Also vorher einkaufen...

Für Pfadfinder(innen) als Zeltlager besonders geeignet. 1 km von der Hunsrückhöhenstraße B 327, liegt der Campingplatz Massingsmühle mitten im Wald. Das ehemalige Reich des legendären Räuberhauptmanns Schinderhannes ist eine Landschaft zum Wandern, zum freien Leben, losgelöst von Arbeitshektik und Ferienrummel. Sie regt zum besinnlichen Verweilen und zum Entdecken all der kleinen Kostbarkeiten die anderswo schon lange verloren gegangen sind. "Wirklich ein herrliches Örtchen" Wörter dieser Art hätte Herr Bommel (holländische Zeichenfigur) bestimmt gebraucht, würde er auf dem Campingplatz Massingsmühle ankommen. Wunderbar in der Natur versteckt, fabelhaft und sehr still gelegen, bietet dieser Campingplatz wirklich alles für verwöhnte Naturliebhaber. Wer mitten in der Natur seine Stelle gefunden hat, für seinen Caravan, Zelt oder Camper, wird sicherlich herausgehen um eine tüchtige Dosis Kultur zu sich zu nehmen.
