"Great place in a great location! - We really liked the place. However, the ignorance of many dog owners exceeded my tolerance level. Despite numerous signs, dogs are repeatedly taken out to do their "business" on the cliffs in the immediate vicinity of the campsite, without any consequences! An unprecedentedly exemplary dog exercise area, on the other hand, is hardly used.

"Top campsite on the Baltic Sea - Our place near the water was top, sanitary facilities clean, modern and heated, we were now the third time with family Heide in Waabs, just great, the restaurant, the store with bakery and the kiosk, everything top, we like to come back. Definitely recommended! With kind regards The Flindt family

"Highly recommended - It was my first camping trip ever, with a child and 2 dogs. I booked 4 nights, of which 3 days were only permanent rain and yet I can say that I was very satisfied! The site offers a lot, whether indoor or outdoor, and the Baltic Sea is just a few minutes' walk away! The dogs have also been thought of, as there is a very large meadow and a separate agility area. I will definitely be back ... Summer is already booked 😀

"Beautiful, just no signage - Very great place with lots of playgrounds, clean and ample family-friendly sanitary facilities and an entertainment program. But what we noticed in many places: A few more sentences at the check-in "here you are, here are the sanitary facilities, etc.", then the signage is completely missing! Be it at the sanitary facilities (toilets, washing machines, sinks, family bathrooms, everything!) So also, here it goes to the beach, here it goes to the festival meadow, all signage was missing. Unfortunately, the site plan also needs work, the lettering is very unclear, small and blurred. We would love to come back when the weather is better. We had an XXL pitch and needed it, a normal pitch would have been almost impossible for us to drive on without a mover with our "ONLY" 560 Hobby. Otherwise everything was nicely parceled out. Generally a very nice site!

Profile

Camping information: The Heide Family Baltic Sea Caravan/Camping site opened in 1970 and now covers an area of 220,000 m² at Kleinwaabs in the Schleswig-Holstein region of North Germany. It is situated on the picturesque Eckernförder Bay and is near …the E3/A7 autobahn if travelling to or from Denmark. All amenities are to the highest standard and awards are held from the ADAC and DCC (the equivalent of the AA and RAC). Parking spaces are offered in three different sizes (see Parking info) and you can choose whichever suits your requirements. e.g. sea view or close to shop. All the sites have been completely drained and are linked by tarmaced roads. Close to the entrance are where the main conveniences are situated. We have a swimming pool (14m x 7m x 1.5m) with a sauna and solarium and is a supermarket incorporating it’s own bakery and fresh meat counters. The restaurant “Meeresblick” offers wholesome fare plus live music and dancing while the snack bar and kebab stalls cater more for the immediate appetite and can be enjoyed in our beer garden.

You leave the A7 at the departure Büdelsdorf and drive in the direction of the beechnut fjord. You drive from …beechnut fjord through the center and at the port turn right to reach the L26. You follow this street except for the right is side to see the place name sign "Kleinwaabs" now. Please turn right and drive in the direction of the beach. The way to the east sea camping site family Heide is by labelling good to reach. Please go at journey onto the left side of the entrance area where hold bays are offered to you on the parking lot.
