"Visit with groups - The youth cabin village is idyllically situated in a small valley. There is fresh spring water and the camping and tent site is surrounded by bushes and trees. The roads are so far away that you can't hear them. There is a farmer directly above the campsite where you can shop 24 hours a day. He has a very special store. The Moritz family has lovingly looked after the campsite and hut village for decades.

"Camping with the Moritz family - My son (6) and I stayed in a tent on the camping meadow for a weekend. The Moritz family is very friendly and uncomplicated. The price was very fair. The wash houses are in top condition and there was hot water at all times. The nature is breathtakingly beautiful! Thank you for the lovely weekend! We will be back.

"Simply equipped, pleasant campsite close to Manderscheid - The campsite is not far from Manderscheid and you can easily walk into the village. You will pass a farm that has a milk filling station and also sells other products. In the surrounding area, you can go on beautiful hikes through the Volcanic Eifel. The access roads to the pitches are sometimes narrow. If you have a large caravan, there is no room for your car. The site is terraced. The sanitary building is centrally located, with rental cabins in the other half of the site. The site was very quiet at the end of September, although there were other caravans and motorhomes there, but not everyone was there. Dogs are allowed on some of the pitches.

"An ageing natural square - We have never been greeted like this at a campsite before. We had to ring the bell at reception and were asked to choose our pitch from the list, fill in a form and then we could move into our pitch. We only saw a member of staff when we paid and checked out. The simple pitch is laid out in terraces, the pitches are sometimes very narrow, we had no more space for our car. Due to Corona, only a few toilets were open, the open ones are very outdated, but were clean. Showers were closed. There is a small, simple playground for the children. An excursion to the Manderscheiderburgen or Maaren is possible from here.

"Natural space in the countryside - If you are looking for a quiet place in the middle of nature, this is the place for you. We stayed there for a week and felt very comfortable. The pitch is terraced and you stand on grass with a view of the countryside - great! Definitely not for campers who want to be pampered 😏

Shortly: + Terrace pitches on the south-facing slope with a wide view to the Mosenberg. + Wide grounds with lots of open space to " fool around". + Located directly on the VulkaMaar trail. Hike directly to the Meerfelder Maar, …Mosenberg volcano (each approx. 4 km) Manderscheider Burgenstieg, Lieserpfad, Eifelsteig (1.5 km) ... In the landscape protection area of the volcanic Eifel (Vulkaneifel) - one of natures best walking grounds in Germany - our camping site lies about 1 km outside the village of Manderscheid. Surounded by green the site adapts outstanding to the landscape. Many old fruit trees, added by cultivation of location-fair trees and hedges, are the ideal place for a recovering holiday stay. Only one third of the entire surface is used for camping bays. Therefore there is enough space for all kinds of activities and the site is particularly suitable for children. The intermediate embankments offer numerous of plants and small animals habitat.
