The staff are very helpful and courteous. Overall, the site is extremely clean and quiet. The sanitary facilities are up to date and very well maintained. There is a separate waste disposal station for motorhomes.... In addition to electricity, the pitches also have fresh water and gray water disposal. The pool area is also very attractive.
On a positive note, Merano/South Tyrol has an excellent local public transport network, with buses running approximately every 15 minutes. The nearest bus stop and supermarket are only a 5-minute walk from reception. The Südtirol Guestpass is included in the pitch fee and allows you to use public transport free of charge, along with many other benefits. The food in the restaurant is extremely tasty and fairly priced. The option to pick up your food is also great. We used the skypool for a day, which was very relaxing. Even in the high season, nothing is neglected here. All the awards the Schlosshof has won are more than justified. We love the incredibly friendly and warm team, for whom service comes first. The food in the restaurant is always a real treat. The entire resort is run with great attention to detail and this is noticeable down to the smallest detail. The peace and quiet, the good food in the restaurant and the super friendly staff. The campsite is very well maintained, as are the other facilities such as the sunbathing areas and the pool area. The sanitary facilities are exemplary and are cleaned several times a day. However, the family-run campsite is not for people who are looking for all-day entertainment, big slide parks or the like.
On the other hand, you get a smaller but exquisite campsite that offers everything you need to relax.
Whether you need bread rolls for breakfast... in the morning or an ice cream in the afternoon (or tomorrow, or at lunchtime) - nobody goes away empty-handed here. If you want to stock up on supplies, there is a small store within walking distance and larger shopping facilities a few hundred meters further on.
Apart from that, the site impresses with a level of cleanliness and attention to detail that we have never seen before. No matter what time of day, the wash houses and the entire site are always in super clean condition and super clean! The rental bathrooms are in no way inferior and fit seamlessly into the high quality of the facilities.
The teams (whether outdoor maintenance, cleaning, reception or restaurant) are all super friendly and do everything they can to make the guests' stay perfect. The owners themselves are present every day and also impress with their warmth and professionalism. 🥰
For us, going to the restaurant in the evening - which in our eyes is unparalleled on campsites - is a relaxed routine that doesn't leave us with the eternal question: "What should we cook?". From Italian classics to local dishes or Italo classics with a South Tyrolean twist to desserts that are heavenly, everything is available. The matching drinks, whether soft drinks, beers, wines, cocktails and much more, are available in all variations. No one has to go back to the plot hungry or thirsty.
The village of Lana invites you to enjoy a varied vacation in South Tyrol and so for us the Schlosshof Resort is the perfect starting point for hikes, city trips or day trips to Lake Garda and co.
